Exactly, between that Nissan commercial and the Taco Bell commercial with the kid eating a grilled stuffed nacho while running away from the dad, I've never missed DVR so much

The sad part is the fact that commercials today actually have to have stupid messages like that. Not to be humorous, but because people are actually stupid enough to try those things.

It's not the message that bugs me, I actually cracked up at that part, it's the fact the same exact commercial comes on 500 times a day. It's like every other break this **** comes on, and then the random noises made during the "song" get caught in my head and only get knocked out by the "Your Mama’s got nothing on me.. Your daddy’s got nothing on me" TB commercial.

Why do companies/advertisers have to bombard us like this? It doesn't make me want to buy either of their products. It just annoys the hell out of me

At least in USA you guys get variety of commercials(even if some do replay so many times). In Canada, many channels are just same commercials over and over again promoting the same tv shows. Or even worse...I get buffalo feeds of CBS and stuff, so I'm stuck watching those insanely low budget/boring local Buffalo commercials.

Though in past several months, I've been using my DVR like crazy. I basically DVR every single show I watch every week and intentionally start watching late(and take my time doing whatever it is I'm doing before watching TV) so I can skip all commercials.

I've been thinking the same thing. It's not even just that people are stupid enough to do it, it's the ****s that abuse suing people that we know someone would and jump a car onto a train, fail, possibly die and the family would sue because "the commercial never said it was (almost) impossible".

So....It's nights like this that make me wonder what old time former OSers like NoleFan must be doing right now. He's probably running around screaming how FSU is the greatest thing since sliced bread and Jameis Winston is Jesus.

WELP officially addicted to Game of Thrones.

Watched the first half of season 1 last year with my roommate but got frustrated and stopped watching because I couldn't keep the damn families apart.

Started it again 3 days ago, and I'm done with season 1. Gonna fire up season 2 in a few minutes.

lol ya,cause you can't really DVR sports, so you have to watch these commercials.

Speaking of DVRing sports...I really hope my plan to DVR the olympics(since this is my first winter olympics with a DVR) works. Hopefully nothing gets spoiled from the time things happen,to the time I watch it.

And speaking of the olympics.....OS should get an olympics section(not just 1 thread,but an entire subforum) on this forum so we can talk about it.
