Signed up for color detail at the March 31st Whitesox game. We are rolling out the huge flag during the pre game. I know no one carea about the Whitesox, but I think it will be a cool thing to be a part of.

Re: Off Topic 2014
The college party stuff is just way over my head. The hilarious thing is, my younger brother goes to the same university that I do and he's really into the whole thing. Joined a frat right when he got here. I'll never really understand it, but I'm glad he enjoys it.Writer for Operation Sports

Re: Off Topic 2014
Can't shake this bug/flu. Outta work Wednesday-Friday, going back this morning but I'm not myself yet. So frustrating getting sleep in 20-30 minute increments, waking up in a pool of sweat and I feel like there's a wad of paper towels in my chest. My throat is mostly fine besides when I attempt to hack **** up which after so much is irritating it.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

I just realized my boat was built the same year as Super Bowl II. Which is also the same year as MLK died and the Cincinnati Bengals were founded

I mean really.
Going to a house party and complaining about the music being too loud is like...well...going to a house party and complaining the music is too loud.
They were hit or miss for me during school. Most of the time the better nights were the ones that my friends and I had the smaller parties at our apartments.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2014
I love it all, the small parties before we head out somewhere, club/bar scene, and the large random parties we find cause well free or cheap booze.
However, I go to the #1 party school so it'd be weird if I didn't enjoy it.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Off Topic 2014
Which is why I avoid these sorts of things now. My "friends" (whom I don't hang out with anymore) tried, but I just didn't want to drink in that kind of environment (plus I was underage, that played a part in my thinking as well). Drinking to "have fun" is just not my thing. I don't mind one or two drinks socially, that I can and do do on occasion, but when it comes to this whole, "you have to get drunk to have fun" thing, I don't enjoy it, don't see the point in it, and thus seek other sources of "fun" of which I have found plenty. I suppose I'm a bit different when it comes to stuff like this. Like I said, you have your ideas of fun and I have mine. Neither is necessarily worse or better, they're just different. Even now that I do drink on occasion (turned 21 about a month ago), it still isn't something I want to seek out and do.Last edited by mb625; 03-08-2014, 02:41 PM.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: Off Topic 2014
My apartment in the college days was right down the road from a party house (from a different school) and one night I got drunk at home and just walked over there and joined the fun. I think it was like $5 for a cup and "admission" to the house. I had a great timeWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Re: Off Topic 2014
I would think if you went to house party, you would automatically know the music would be loud. Unless you guys never went to a house party in high school and the college house party was the 1st house party you ever been to. Because they both really are the same. I haven't been to a party or even a BBQ get together that didn't have loud music playing.
Party and loud music just goes together. Even office parties have loud music playing.Comment
