After college, your opportunities to drink heavily become extremely rare. I don't know why you wouldn't want to take advantage of that while you have the chance.

Who told you it becomes extremely rare ? I know people who still drink heavily but yet can go to work and function just fine. I don't recommend it though, but I do know people who can do that.

I mean it depends on what you're doing. Can I have fun drinking 3/4th's of a handle of Captain for my friend's 21st and drop kicking signs in the parking lot on the walk home? Yup you betcha. Can I also have fun staying in playing video games or just hanging out with some girl? Yup.

My point being is everyone obviously enjoys different things, but there are just certain things you have to be drunk for or you're not gonna enjoy it too much.

Yeah, but there's really no worries about being an "alcoholic" during college. It's accepted, expected, and not a problem.

Once you're binge drinking a lot outside of college, you have to think that you have a problem.

If you like alcohol and are outgoing, you'll like partying in college. If both do not work together, then you won't. I for one, loved the party scene my first two years of college. Once I turned 21, I became more of a bar guy. But I recommend to any college student to get blasted and rage just one time during their college career.
