Is Ethernet always the preferred method for connecting devices or is there a distance efficiency equation?

I currently have my PS4 connecting via wiFi. DirecTV uses an internet connection for on-demand. Should I simply run 2 cords to each device? Would that be the best connection set-up?

When you guys did internships and stuff, how much outside work did you have to do for the academic side of it? Anything besides a paper? Because I swear they're having me work way harder for my 3 credit hours than I felt I should have to. I mean, I did my 150 hours of internship, why should you pile a ton of academic work on top of it?

Had a meeting for my internship next semester. We just have weekly online discussion board questions, and keep a binder full of what I'm teaching when, etc. for my supervisor to see when she comes around to observe.

Probably different cause as a teacher I'm already going to be doing things outside of my internship times, but it doesn't seem too bad for 12 credit hours it's covering.

Mine covers 3... and it feels like it should cover at least 6...

It's a bit difficult considering I'm taking 13 credit hours total this semester.

I refuse to use WiFi for my PS3. Regardless of distance, including the wireless router sitting on top of it, it lagged. My 360 has 0 issue with lag when it comes to wireless.

Regardless, hardwired is always the preferred method just to be safe.

I use to run an Ethernet cable from upstairs to the downstairs to game.

My PS3 and PS4 are on wi-fi, and they seem OK, although I don't play online much.

AT&T gave me a wireless receiver for my U-verse. I swore I could see it hiccup every now and then, so I insisted they replace the wireless box with a wired one. Dude thought I was crazy, but I don't see the hiccups anymore.

Unless having a wire running rooms is an issue, I'd hardwire it. I'm running a 360, PC, and Blu Ray player that way. It's probably a placebo thing if they're that close, but I'm with bigbob and LowerWolf.

Internet companies refuse to believe that their routers have issues. I had to do the same thing with Atlantic Broadband. Their wireless router wouldn't give off a good signal and even hardwired it only pulled through about 5 mbs.

I know this topic ended awhile ago, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one feeling whatever about the Show. Everyone was in awe of the screenshots, but after seeing Infamous, I just wasn't all that impressed. I know it's just year one, but man, the only thing keeping me interested is the small online franchise Jeremy may be running. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised once I inevitably buy it next Tuesday. FIFA just controls my gaming life. I still haven't finished Infamous.

I didn't play The Show 13 all that long, so that's part of the reason I'm excited. Plus I got rid of the PS3. But I do agree with you on it not being the most amazing thing ever like many will say.

Also, I finished Infamous, but had no intention to play through it again even for the easy platinum. Then again, I never cared for that series. Glad I didn't buy it.

lol, same things happen to me too. If my internet isn't great, the company says their router is fine and it's either cable problem or the area I live in.....Though I never had problems with internet before I had their router(and my cable is new and the area I live in perfectly fine in terms of connections)

Luckily though after awhile, finally got them to give me a real good router(many times,it's just a matter of luck in terms of if the service person they send is a nice person who understands peoples problems and can really help them,or just someone who rushes their job to get to the most houses in the day)
