Do we have any proof that Clemsonpanther is real?

I just got around to reading the Week 4 Discussion thread and that was.. something.

Depends on the kind of fishing you want to do. Fresh or salt water? Surf, Pier, River, Lake, Pond, Ice? I started with http://www.amazon.com/Ready-Fish-pie...ginners+tackle

      And this.

      http://www.amazon.com/Ready-Fish-Spe...=ready+to+fish

I started a few years ago so I've upgraded some things and added new lures and items to my tackle box. Sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit, stick-in-the-mud, fishing clippers, etc...

I pretty much fish a river exclusively so most or ALL of my gear is set towards that. 6ft pole with 6-10lb test line and some waders.

Check this book out too, I have it and use it as reference for tips, tricks, and instructionals.

      http://www.amazon.com/Fishing-Dummie...ng+for+dummies

I gave you amazon links but you can find this stuff cheaper on Ebay.

BTW the Ready 2 Fish brand is pretty great stuff for beginners, The reels are nice and the rods are quite sturdy. There is enough tackle in a R2F pole and set to fish for an hour or so but I'd recommend getting some more tackle before heading out. As a beginner you're sure to lose your first lure in a matter of minutes! I did anyway.

I'd recommend starting with the old rod, don't want to hook something you can't handle when you are starting out.

Matt has you started off on the right foot. When you feel the need you can always change out the reels on those cheaper beginner sets, though, I've always been biased towards Shakespeare/Ugly Stik myself.

The hardest part is figuring out how to work the bait and what stuff actually brings in the fish.

The spincast combo in the second link I posted will be good to get you started in lake and rivers. I still have it and use it but I've upgraded my reel so I can cast out a bit farther with lures.

My first excursion was on the bank of a lake and I caught two nice size stripers with a basic worm and hook rig. I didn't have much tackle with me so my day ended pretty quickly when I got my last hook from the set tangled in some weeds.

                Also.

I'm so weak. I didn't even really enjoy the FIFA demo that much, but after reading some impressions, I'm going to pick it up tomorrow morning.

I'm always looking towards the next sports game coming out, before I even enjoy the ones I already have.

On the very last play of our last game I put him in at fullback to again show him I appreciated his attitude. I gave him the ball. Dude breaks like a 30 yard run. I put him at fullback the next day (Thursday) at practice and he's a hammer running the football and destroying kids as a lead blocker.

I went from laughing at this kid to being one of his biggest fans. Awesome feeling when kids prove you wrong or surprise you like this.

There is a kid like this on my high school team. We had him at OL cuz he was a big kid, And he wasn't bad. But he came into the coaches office after one practice and said he didn't like football and he was wondering when soccer tryouts were. We've got a small team and need every kid we've got, so the coach lied to him and told them that they had all ready passed and he couldn't try out. So the kid stuck with it, and then one day we needed a scout team RB to give us a look, and he was running all over the field. So his freshman year he probably ran for 1000 yards on the JV team. Now he's a Junior and is the co-starting running back

One of the best things about his freshman year was that he had already gotten a lineman jersey #. so he needed to switch with someone, but they didn't switch it on the roster, so another players name was announced by the PA guy every time he touch the ball.
