It's all dependent.

When we go up to my buddy's lake house Friday night to Sunday afternoon, I consider it vacation. It may not mean I have to take time off work, but it means I'm swimming, drinking, and chilling. If I was home, I'd be doing something semi-productive.

A true vacation would mean a destination and taking some PTO. But I'm not gonna judge you for calling a weekend away a vacation.

I need a debate settled. Arguing with a friend about what a vacation is... Would a Friday night through Sunday trip to a wedding be considered a vacation?

I wouldn't even consider that a mini-vacation. I'd call it a weekend trip/weekend getaway, but that's just me.

I have an interview at Best Buy on Monday because Target has taken a turn for the "I ****ing hate it here."

So that's pretty cool.

And I know hating your job is common, but I used to like it at Target. Then I went home for three months, came back, and now it's like a completely different place. So I figured what the hell, let's try something new.

I don't really care for my job or the majority of the people who work here. However, it's nice to not have to worry about money. Especially, since I'm someone who used to have to bring a calculator with me to the grocery store to make sure that I wouldn't have to put anything back if I went over at the register.

If I had to choose between a job that I love or a job that I don't really care for and not having money be a stress in my life. Then I'll choose the $$$.

That's a vacation to me (did it last weekend) because I haven't taken off more than two days in a row since I went to the Masters in 2009.

We had Caribbean TV this patrol instead of american TV and I have to say Gordie shore and Acapulco shore are a lot better than Jersey shore.

We get Geordie Shore here on one of the channels here and I have to say I agree with you. It's a lot better than Jersey Shore but that's not exactly a high bar of achievement.

I consider that a long weekend, to me a vacation is at least a week off and you pick where you're going.

My wife is a teacher.

I work for a family owned electronic distributor. We have a total of 15 people that work here and one of those people is my Dad. He's been here for 30+ years, so I grew up around these people and they are like family.

I go to UofL athletic events with my boss and sales manager, concerts with other co-workers, and play video games with others. Its great! Plus they pay me pretty well to browse OS.

I started a new job for a small startup in August. I kind of miss the routine of my old job, but this could be THE job. It's super chill, an office setting, and I get to travel on the company's dime.

Did I mention we design and create toys?

Yeah, no complaints. Some days are better then others, but I always think back to how lucky I am to have this. Keeps me grounded and appreciative. It wasn't too long ago I had no job (or had to work 2) and had no direction in life. If (when...) we expand, and everyone gets paid more, I won't forget the humble beginnings.
