Two nights back working at home and it's already a ****ing gong show. Gotta love it.
And possibly the worst part of it all happened this morning. There's one guy in particular I'm really good friends with there. Easily one of the best people I know. About a month or two before I left, a new girl started there. She's super cool and he was hooked instantly. The three of us are all friends, and they have this really close connection. They hang out outside of work, they have very similar interests and mindsets, etc. They're eerily similar and basically meant for each other. I knew this from day one.
Anyways, this morning me and him are leaving work. He looks pissed, which is a very rare thing. Eventually I pry it out of him as to what's wrong and he tells me another girl told him our friend thinks I'm hot. I talked him through it and came to the conclusion that the girl who told him this is being a (fill in the 4 letter blank), because this isn't the first time she's tried to mess with him. And I flat out told him I would never, ever, ever do that to him. But now that stupid ****ing fork is in the road and I'm hoping things don't get weird.
Like I told him, I would never let it get to that point by my own doing because obviously there's no way I could do that to him, even more so when he's been pursuing the girl for months on end and I've wanted him to get her right from the start. Don't get me wrong, she's an attractive girl with a great personality (a rare combination), and in a different situation I would probably go after her knowing what I know now, but in this case I basically have to go into "do not want" mode. I'm just hoping this doesn't become an issue down the road. The two of them are some of the few bright spots at work for me so it would suck to have that ruined.
It's so much fun to be back!
