My grandpa still watches Road Runner cartoons and laughs out loud when stuff happens to Wile E Coyote. It's amazing to me how easily entertained he was, I mean he was a really intelligent man in his day, still is, and something as simple as boulders falling on a cartoon coyote just completely busts him up.

Re: Off Topic 2014
My parents didn't allow us to watch a lot of shows, including, but not limited to: Rugrats, Recess, Hey Arnold, The Fairly OddParents (not that that counts as "90s TV, but it was during my childhood), Digimon (which I absolutely loved growing up. That was a dark day, indeed.), TMNT and Power Rangers (both of which we watched anyhow)
My mom always just made (and still makes) the comment of it being a stupid looking cartoon most of the time. Pretty much ever since Nick Jr. stopped being something I watched when I started grade school. I think Rugrats was the only show she didn't make that comment about. Granted now that I watch adult-oriented cartoons, it doesn't really help that this is going on in the background when she asks me to help her buy something off Amazon:

She was astounded when I told her they still make Tom and Jerry cartoons though. My dad never cared what we watched.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Animaniacs, Freakazoid, Tiny Toons were cool ones I remember growing up. I liked the live action shows on Nickelodeon though mostly, Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, Wild 'n Crazy Kids, etc.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: Off Topic 2014
I remember fighting with my mom for the TV at 7 to watch rugrats. It was Rugrats versus Jeopardy every day at my house back then. Now there is a tv in every room, a laptop in every room, everyone has a cellphone, a desktop...fighting for the TV was the good ol days. Now I could have rugrats playing on 5 different screens in the same room. Technology.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2014
needtobreathe is THE BEST BAND EVER. no joke. Southern rock and roll with a unique twist in each album. Influenced by U2, esp early. They dont copycat and no filler songs either. Live show is the best thing ever.
Kutless from 02-09 was the stuff. Post grunge with a musically clean (not cluttered) twist.
Skillet's collide album is insane, raw and powerful post grunge.
Red is awesome, metal post grunge (ish), but with strings. Lots of classic literature influences. Amazing vocals and scream... But dont buy release the panic because howard benson is an idiot.
Pillar has filler songsbut has great hits
frontline is on my top 5 songs already (and ive listened to a bunch). For the love of the game and hypnotized are good also. This is postgrunge with a hint of rap (in frontline).
Write this down is underrated. A tad too much screaming but incredibly catchy postgrunge.
With the exception of needtobreathe all of those are postgrunge. What makes postgrunge so great? I don't know i just love it.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2014
Just read about a kid who had 31k accidentally put into his bank account. Kid spent most of it, now he's gonna be prosecuted if he doesn't return the money.
I feel like that should be on the bank. You know damn well that if they took X amount from you mistakenly, they're gonna make you jump through hoops and wait weeks to see your own money.
Finder's keepers!
I knew this would happen so I'd just tell the bank off the bat.
I found $5 at 711, went to give it to the lady who I held the door for presuming it was hers, but she was gone. I tried to give it to the cashier, he said nah man it's yours. So I bought my usual $2.50 breakfast, and put the change in the children's relief fund or whatever charity it was. I slept well that night. It didn't seem right to keep the money, but I had to take that finder's fee off the top, ya dig?NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Man I lived off of inappropriate television when I was a kid. Dragon Ball Z, WWE, Viva La Bam, Jackass, That 70s Show, South Park...

Re: Off Topic 2014
Honestly, I didn't know any other way, so really it wasn't that bad. I watched a lot of older cartoons- Looney Tunes, Yogi Bear, Rocky & Bullwinkle and the like- as well as a lot of older sit coms- Andy Griffith, things like that. People think I'm really weird for it to this day, but I really don't feel like less of a person for it.MLB: Minnesota Twins

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
