Probably drama or comedy.

For comedies I'd recommend Brooklyn 99 which just finished up season 1 tonight. Tons of promise there.

For dramas, I can't really speak to the cable shows because I usually catch them later on Netflix, but some of the network shows I've caught up with lately that seem to have SOME promise would be The Following, Hannibal, or The Blacklist. They're all a little on the dark side, but if you're into that kinda thing they should suit you just fine.

Also, Person of Interest is a great show, I think they're in season 4 now, not sure exactly, but that might be #1 overall for me in terms of current network shows. Really entertaining stuff, recommended for anyone

Never been a fan of Beats, but I bought some UrBeats and they are pretty good. $60 tax free at the NEX.

Arrow has 2 seasons (Second currently airing however both are pretty long season. Just got picked up for a third and is great)

Game of Thrones has 3 seasons with the new one starting soon

Walking Dead has 4 seasons with a fifth incoming (Season 4 has one more episode left)

I watched the first half of season 1 and ended up getting behind and the recording were deleted. I think I'll jump back on that one!

I'm through season 1 of 'The Following', but freaking Fox only has the most recent 5 episodes or something like that and I finished S1 just a couple weeks ago.

I speak in Chappelle quotes. It's bad. When someone gets them though, it's great.

The combo of Key & Peele, Colbert, Jon Stewart, and Tosh fills the void slightly... But Chappelle is like a titan among this generation's comedy and sketch shows. K&P is probably the closest thing for me.

I'm pretty sure somebody put the idea in her head, as I was at lunch with some of our co-workers 2 hours before that text and the topic of her came up, and I pretty much pled the fif then.

Chappelle's Show was and is hilarious. It's amazing how much of the material relates to my every day thoughts.

I put it in a different category, though. It's grouped with shows like Tosh.
