Spotify is definitely my music app of choice for work. I do pay the extra for Sirius XM internet though. Great for when I want radio or sporting events

I just don't understand if you wanted to listen to songs only by that artist why you wouldn't just listen to them from your iPod or music app. It's free and no commercials.

I feel OS missed on an opportunity by not creating a Women of the World Cup thread in the soccer forums. They have been as good, if not better than the matches themselves.

After using Spotify for a while, I still go back to Pandora for the reason you said: the radio. For that reason, neither is better than the other for me. Just situational music apps.

I must have bad luck with these radios. On both Spotify and Pandora I start getting repeats of songs after 20 songs. Not sure how the coding is, but it shouldn't allow the same song to be played for the next 100 plays.

What do you mean by "music app". Of the big names out there none of them are free and have no ads that I know of.

It's free if you rip all your own CDs to iTunes, or download from Bandcamp when they offer "pay anything" as an option (if I actually had money I'd toss a few $$ their way but I'm broke as **** so if they're gonna offer it, I'll take it).

Or other more nefarious methods...

Because you'd have to pay for it (the music, that is). I use iScrob as my music player on my phone because I like to scrobble to last.fm. Plus, my phone is only 16GB and 11 of those are music.

I typically dig artist's full discog's so it works well for me. If I wanted just singles, I probably would download them and play through the music player.

I agree that a combination of services is the best. Like I use iScrob for music I have stored on my phone, Spotify as my main streaming service, Grooveshark for one-off's, and Bandcamp for music purchased through that website (I also like it because it goes straight to band's account).

I did notice that I "bought" a free download from Bandcamp and it didn't show up on the app as music I've gotten through them.

We have been having barracks meetings on the Mess Deck every day since Monday. Someone fell from an 8th floor window to his death.

He locked himself out of his room and he didn't want to go to the office and get a key to get in so he tried scaling the wall and going window to window.

I've heard of people from our ship doing that **** too. We are on the 3rd deck, but it's pretty high up and someone could die easily if they fell.

On a much happier note, I'm going to Fukuoka tomorrow to hang out with that girl I met a few weekends ago. I don't know how much different it will be dating a Japanese girl, but I'm willing to find out. I hope my back is feeling better by tomorrow in case there are extracurricular (sp?) activities.
