Of my 8 hour work day today, I'd say a good 5 hours were spent on Twitter.

I have a strange work-related dilemma.
I'm supposed to go help out another restaurant tonight, but I found out on Tuesday that two of my friends who I haven't seen in a few months are moving to Florida next week and tonight is their big going away party.
I'm debating calling and telling my bosses that I can't work tonight so I can stop being a ****ty friend and say bye to these two (my fault we haven't seen each other or hung out in awhile), but the moral side of me hates calling out.
Although, I wouldn't be hurting the restaurant that I work at full-time by calling out, so I don't feel too bad thinking about doing it. I don't know. The strange part is I would rather work than go to the party, but, I don't need to alienate more friends than I already have.Last edited by Beantown; 07-26-2014, 08:32 AM.Comment

Speaking of work, my ****ing douchebag of a manager had the nerve to tell me Wednesday night that I'm essentially the reason things go to **** and that it's better when I'm not there. This despite the fact that I routinely bust my *** night in and night out, stay almost half an hour late, if not more, on a constant basis, and do multiple jobs and deal with a bigger workload than just about anyone else there. And he has the ****ing nerve to tell me that. I laughed in his face, finished the conversation and left.
When I come back, I'm done working hard any night he's there and I'm going to demand to be taken out of my current area, that way if and when everything goes to **** without me, I can laugh in his face again and say every single time "Guess it's all my fault, huh?". And if that happens, I fully intend on leveraging the hell out of that situation.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: Off Topic 2014
Back to the topic of "defense wins championships" and "you can't win if you can't score".
As a Toronto sports fan, I think the "defense wins championships" line seems to be more true. The Blue Jays and Leafs are great offensive teams, each year they're up there with the top teams in scoring. Yet the Jays pitching, and Leafs defense suck and lead to opponents scoring alot which hurts them big time. It turns a team whose offense was good enough to be a top 10 team in the league, into a middle to bottom of the pack type of team.
Raptors on the other hand, they've suddenly become a huge defensive minded team and look how last season ended up for them. Sure they lost in 1st round, but I'd take a 48 win season and 1st round exit over a 2nd half collapse and end up missing playoffs.
Lack of defense impacts season as a whole, while lack of offense can usually just be streaks at various points in the season where the offense has "dried up", so lack of defense impacts much more than lack of offense.Comment

Rough night last night. Good time, but rough. Downed a beer with a cigarette butt in it, obviously unknowingly. Woke up with this morning with my head bleeding, apparently from wrestling with my friend on the porch. Idk if I'm still drunk, or just concussed.uploadfromtaptalk1406395625575.jpguploadfromtaptalk1406395625575.jpgComment

Possibly. But if not then I just find a new job that will actually appreciate the work and effort I put in, so either way it works out.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

I already said this on Twitter, but go out. I've learned quickly wasting my life away these past 2.5-3 years that your personal life and enjoyment needs to come before work every now and then.

I think you need to have 1-1 personal sitdown with your manager to air your concerns; and if he can't do that you should strongly consider finding new employment.
