Sun poisoning is honestly the worst thing I've ever experienced. So itchy but at the same time so freaking painful. Had it all over my chest once from a water park and it had me in tears all day

Eventually the only thing that worked was takin Benadryl until I passed out for at least 14 hours.

Eventually the only thing that worked was takin Benadryl until I passed out for at least 14 hours.

I found out when I was younger that my skin has an allergic reaction to the sun, so I basically get sun poisoning way easier than most... it is ****ing hell. I found out by playing in an outdoor basketball without sunscreen and without a shirt for like 8 hours... it did not go well.

I have to wear those long sleeve beach shirts whenever I go to the Outer Banks or Florida or anything now because of how bad the itch and pain is if I don't.

I have been afflicted with the bastard known as poison ivy.

I know it's not deadly, but on sheer annoyance poison ivy is high on the undesirable afflictions list. Itchy itchy itchy itchy...

At least its not herpes.

I grew up mostly in Jupiter, FL. Was getting checked out by the Ambulance people after I got hit by a car on campus, they asked where I was from and said Jupiter. They thought I had a bad concussion(which I realized afterwards I probably had a mild one) due to it until I said it was a town in South FL.

I'm not from here and I even knew that.

I've never experienced poison ivy. I can run in it and be fine. Heck, one year at an ex's family get together, we played hide and seek with everyone and I laid down in the poison ivy bushes. That was the easiest victory ever.

I was raised in Montezuma, Indiana. As in the Aztec emperor Montezuma.

Still can't figure out the connection there.

There's also a Montezuma, Iowa. Named for the same Aztec emperor. I guess it was named that by vets of the Mexican-American War that settled in the town, so that may be the case for both.

Pennsylvania has Mechanicsburg and also Eighty Four, and Mars (their high schools athletic teams are called the Planets)

If we're talking funny, town related, HS nicknames, there is a town in Southern Minnesota called Blooming Prarie. Their teams are called the Blossoms. My high school's teams were also basically named after the city, but ours was boring. We were the Saint Ansgar Saints.
