There are some people whom it doesn't effect. But, I do hear that people may potentially lose their immunity at some point in life. In general, if you do come into contact with poison ivy, go run the effected area under cold water. That lessens the effects greatly.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I've been living in Indiana for the past couple of months, and I've gotta say, I love it. I'm living in Ft. Wayne and it's great, and there's a ton of nice country outside the city. I do miss Iowa, but Indiana is pretty darn nice.MLB: Minnesota Twins

Re: Off Topic 2014
I lived in Indiana for about 8 years and hated it. But then again I lived in northwest Indiana which has basically turned to Chicago-lite in the past 20 years. My brother went to Purdue Calumet campus out there in Ft. Wayne and I use to date this cougar that lived in Ft. Wayne.

Re: Off Topic 2014
My parents live in New Mexico and my address of residence when I played in college was NM.
One day I got called into the athletic office (played in PA) to fill out an international player form.
No, you cannot make this stuff up.Comment

That makes sense, didn't really think about it that way. Oddly enough, we have a sawmill in town that used to employ a bunch of illegal immigrants from Mexico.

Yeah, I moved to Indiana when I was really young. Born in Illinois, so I can't say that I've experienced anything outside of the Midwest. With that being said, I really don't like it much around here. Tons of farm land, wanna-be country kids and lifted pick-up trucks. It's just not my kind of style, if that makes sense.
I go to Indiana State, so I just got my first place here in Terre Haute. The apartment is nice and it's a definite upgrade from dorm life, but man, Terre Haute is the worst.
GMSS hit the nail on the head. It's right on the Wabash river, if that helps out any more. If you're familiar with The Parke County Covered Bridge Festival, that's where I was at.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2014
Put in my 2 week notice at work yesterday. I'm taking the offer I posted about earlier this week.
It's for a small start up company that is expanding. It's exciting to be able to grow within a company, building it from small start up to... who knows. I'll be doing stuff I never thought I would, like going to conventions all over the country to showcase our product and secure contracts with vendors. There are some realistic contracts we're looking to get or are already in talks with, and it's going to be my job to spearhead that effort.
It's taking my life in a completely different direction then I ever imagined. I sought the advice of my fiancé, my dad, and a couple of people I really respect and the response was overwhelmingly positive and they shared the same excitement as me to be a part of something big.
I'm leaving behind some things but I'm signing on to this venture for the potential I see. It could take me to places even my wildest dreams never imagined. There is inherent risk but that's the chance you have to take to strike gold. I have a backup plan in place just to cover my bases, too.
Movin' on up!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
