    Still talking about KMart huh.

We had a regular KMart, but that burned down back in spring of '99 (I remember listening to them talking about it on the radio when my mom was driving me home from my sneak peak visit at the college I'd be going to in the fall). They ended up replacing it with a Super K. Pretty sure it's still there, but I haven't been there in years and I don't think my mom shops there much if at all either.

And since a couple people mentioned Sears, we have a few of them too. They just announced one in a now largely empty mall will be closing in December though. That mall is 40 years old and has been dying a slow death since the late 90s. It's mostly empty and large parts of the 2-level parking lot are roped off and have seemingly fallen into disrepair.

Only reason I got Columbus day was because of Typhoon Vongfong.

Speaking of Canadian Thanksgiving...In Canada, they're airing a Harry Potter marathon cause it's Thanksgiving long weekend. Even though I've said it before, it's still funny to realize how Harry Potters dad was actually a jerk(at least when he was a student). All that praise about Harrys parents when in reality, his dad sucked/was nothing more than a bully. Snape was the true good guy in the whole thing.

I'll go to watch them and think to myself, "You'll just be disappointed that it's not as good as the book".

I will say this.. the first movie was extremely awesome to see. It was the first time we had really seen someone's interpretation of the world come to life.

They couldn't have picked a better cast for the movies. I'm still not sure which Dumbledore I prefer. The first was a little too stiff as a character and the second was a little too eccentric for what I had envisioned in my head.

Ahh Harry Potter. The only books I've ever cared about reading that didn't involve Goosebumps or The Berenstain Bears.

Yeah it seems Sears and the derelict malls go hand in hand. Our Sears that anchors our mall is exactly as you described yours.

So sad too. It used to be the go to spot on the weekends. We loved it as kids.

Huge, amazing, arcade. Girls we went to school with working almost all the stores, amazing food court with all the best chains in it, a huge fancy fountain that everyone threw pennies in, and of course "The Warehouse" where everybody went for the best selection in music and media.

There's still people who don't like the movies though they liked the books cause the books actually did cut out lots of stuff. I slightly read the books(and didn't mind my friends spoiling later books for me cause I thought "I'm not gonna read the book and prob won't remember the spoiler when the movie comes out years from now",though I was real wrong on the remembering part lol), but didn't mind how much they cut out from it.

If the series happened like 10 years later,it probably would've been made into a TV series instead. Each book would be 1 season in the series. Really would've been interesting to see cause every part of the book would've been able to be captured in the series(since the season would be 6-8 hours compared to 2.5 hours of the movie,so things could've dragged out abit more). Production value wouldn't be as high, but still is interesting to imagine what it might have been like had this been a TV series instead, would it be as good/popular or what? Imagine the ending to the 4th,5th,6th movies as season finales of a TV show! Instead of spending 2+ hours building to that, it would've been 7-8 months! Would be cool for sure, even if people knew the endings like majority did going into the movies.

Of all the movies,I'd say probably the 3rd movie is my fave.
