Having hockey in Florida isn't stupid. Having two hockey teams in Florida is stupid. Tampa does really well, and it's definitely something the city loves. I personally can't wait until the Panthers are moved to Canada (hopefully) so people will stop just grouping both teams together (not saying you did). I have no idea why the Panthers & Coyotes still have franchises honestly. I agree with everything else you said though, solid post.

Re: Off Topic 2014
Roomates are so unorganized and messy it's ridiculous.
I've bitched before, but I share a common area with three other people, including a small kitchen area, bathroom sink area, and a bathroom.
We have one trash can out in the common area by the door.
There are two small bedrooms with two people in each w/ bunk beds, a decent sized fridge, two desks, walk in closet, and some drawers.
Every single room inspection we get blasted because my roommates are so nasty and dirty. I vacuum every few days, take the trash out most days, clean the bathroom a lot of days, etc. It's all because I don't want to live in filth and I don't have much of a choice. I'm going to have to talk to someone if they won't listen to reason.
The guys in the next room broke a chair Monday and it's been sitting in our common area for 4 days, along with a bag of trash that they had when we came back from South South Korea. The bathroom sink has nasty crud, small globs of hair from someone's beard, etc. I haven't used it all week.
My actual roommate has had a pile of clothes (some dirty, some clean) and a bunch of empty bottles and chip bags in the floor for at least a *** **** month. He occasionally throws one or two away or does laundy, but instead of hanging his clothes up or moving them, they go right back into a pile or he puts them on his bed and sleeps with them. He never makes his bed up.
We got blasted on our room inspection today and there are remarks that say if we can't straighten up we'll have to live on the ship. I'll be complete dick or talk to someone else about it before I go live on our ship.. **** that.
I got "beyond satisfactory" on my box, but the room as a whole can't fail. We're supposed to "police each other". Our RA's are pretty cool too. They don't even mention the fact that we have an obscene amount of alcohol in our room.. and that's a rule too. They just want us to be clean.. it's not that hard. I put very little effort into it. I actually say **** to my roommate about it constantly, but he doesn't care and doesn't mind admitting that he's a lazy ****.
I mean the guy who's going to be rooming with me seems alright enough. It's just I like to keep to myself and have my own space. Plus it's just this small room with 2 beds, a little fridge, a TV and a bathroom. For the next almost 3 months I'm going to have to work AND live with this guy. It's just a little too much for my liking.
I don't have much of a choice and in the end I have to keep the end goal in sight, but it does suck and makes things less easy for me.
Also, the funny thing is he was just telling me that the guy I was originally paired with my first 2 days here is on a super short leash because he's smashed a mirror, has beer cans all over the place and some other stupid ****. So I'm glad I was at least able to avoid that situation.Last edited by BlueNGold; 10-31-2014, 09:12 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. Re: Off Topic 2014
Chase, sounds like my neighbor. He and his wife wash their clothes rarely and when they do, they're thrown right into another pile. And their dog leaves mess everywhere, rarely gets cleaned up. They wonder why, when we hang out, it's always at our house and not theirs.
I just don't get it. I was raised in a clean-strict household, but I can't make myself reason with that kind of filth.Comment

Not surewhere to ask or even know where I can get the s answer but it seemed logical here. So who won the contest for NBA 2K15 on OS? I didn't see the winner & idk where those announcements are. Oh yea, if I'm asking that means I didn't win right?Comment

Re: Off Topic 2014
lol, I just saw the most useless streecrossing ever.
Person started at 1,j-walked to 2, then crossed from 2 to 3. Then waited for the lights to change before going from 3 to 4. They could've just went from 1 to 4 lol. Seeing how they walked from 2-3 without j-walking,it obviously means they could've gone from 1 to 4 since the lights never changed during this time.
Don't know why that bothers me/makes me feel the need to post a diagram too lol,but I've actually seen stuff like that on multiple occasions, just don't understand the logic at all.Comment

I just realized that I could have been an AJ. First two initials are A and J. Never really put that together before. And I sat at my desk thinking about how my life might have been different if I would have gone by AJ instead of Adam.

Re: Off Topic 2014
Well guess i'll have my 1st real job soon.
Starting on Monday I go down to the 1st grade class down the hall and start teaching science/math since it's a Co-Teach class with 26 students and the other teacher does reading/writing. Will still come back and teach reading in my current class as i'll still be considered in my internship until the paperwork is done and processed so that could take a week or 2.
Once that process is done i'll move down to the new class permanently and be a long term sub until my transcripts come through after I graduate in Dec. then i'll be considered a temp. teacher through the rest of the year. Nice thing is the lady i'm coteaching with came from 5th grade and has no intentions of staying and it'll not be a co teach class next year so it could likely lead to a permanent 1st grade teaching job.
Was fighting with this decision for awhile because the lady i'll be teaching with isn't the most professional person ever and I love my current mentor teacher for my internship so I could have stayed there for another month to find another job. Which may have worked out cause now afterwards I found out the 3rd grade team here really wanted me to step in for a pregnant teacher and the part time PE teacher recommended me to her other school for an opening. But it's $$$, a foot in the door, and the person who I've learned more from in 3 months then any BS college class will be right across the hallSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment
