If you wanna go with a redneck setup that still works, get a deep cycle marine battery (about $80-100, and rechargeable), and a power inverter (so you can plug the tv in to it).

Now all you need is a tv you're willing to compromise at a tailgate, and either an HD antenna for the broadcast channels, or some friends to pitch up for a satellite and subscription. But only if you're real fancy.

With a little effort, you can make a legit setup. Just make sure some jackass doesn't spill beer on the power inverter, or at least have a backup on hand.

Pro tip: have a second battery charged and on hand for those days you're out there from sun up to sun down.

Now you're ready to be the best alcoholic football fan you can be.

To be honest, I'm too busy trying to be a good host and serve food (ask TripleCrown how busy I was floating around) to worry about that. Maybe one day our tailgate will chill out to get to that level, but as of now we have a bunch of sorority girls and college guys over, so we'll hover at "light party"

That's probably pretty old but meh, seemed pretty cool. I had no idea Megan Mullally was a) George's GF Betsy, or b) originally cast as Elaine.

That's always something interesting to see on older shows. Which ones featured people who were on the show before being famous. I believe Friends also has a fairly notable list too?

This a legitimate post. We used to run a form of this style at old tailgates for SF Giants games. Although then there was no HD antenna needed. Just an old school tv and a regular antenna with a power inverter.

Back in Matt's day they used to scalp actual rabbits and use their ears for the best reception, then the rest of the carcass was put towards tasty tailgate burgers. Yeah that's right, I edited that part in 2 days later, what of it?

When I was younger and went racing with my dad and uncle, we always took a satellite dish and strapped it to a fence post with Bungie Cords.

Short coax cable, generator, a satellite box, and those prepaid cards that were ever so popular and we had every game on a race day Saturday.

We didn't have the money quite like some did so we never had the big RV so we had to make due however we could. Still a decent setup with a pop up tent
and a few fans.

Friend of mine just messaged me that she was "bad" with her diet and devoured 3 or 4 low carb tortillas dipped in cheesy salsa.

I reminded her those tend to be pretty high in fiber, maybe that wasn't the best choice. Looked up the brand I thought she had and they said 13g fiber each. Told her she's in for an explosive night.

Then she messaged me that she checked the label on the tortillas...
