A couple of years ago around the holidays, I picked up a dog blanket for $5 at PetSmart. It seems to be a decent enough blanket. I put it down on the back seat of my car for when my dog rides.

I would just give the dog an old blanket if you have one. You know damn well that if you buy some nice dog blanket, she'll never use it. In fact, she'll go out of her way to NOT use it.

For the pet owners in here are there any good blankets you would recommend? I'd like to get Gemma a blanket that is hers for the sofa, but would like one that is easy to wash. I wasn't sure if there was any that would be any better than normal blankets.

My dogs love fleece blankets. I've got a one on a couple couches and then their dog beds have one in them as well. Nothing fancy, you can find them in a roll at Target or a store like that. Just throw them in the wash with their beds to clean them.

Dogs get blankets now ? I guess if you have one of those small dogs who don't produce enough fur on their own. But yeah just a regular child's size blanket would do. Either way it will be a bitch to clean because dog fur sticks to everything anyway.

So be prepared to get all that dog hair that will be stuck to the inside walls of the washing machine out by hand.

We have a blanket in her crate, but I don't like having her on the sofa because she sheds so much.

We just lay out some fleece blankets/throws across our furniture and that's what our young dogs usually lay on. My wife actually just picked up a cheap Christmas blanket for just a few dollars at Wal Mart.

Our Senior dog can't jump up on his chair anymore, so he got him a couple of the big plush bean bag looking beds and spread the throughout the house.

My dog has his own little bed that he's had for years. Barely ever curls up in it though, he'd rather lay against it from the outside. If I put him in it, he just climbs back out. Stubborn ***

My family has two dogs and my mom bought each of them a memory-foam dog bed. The dogs usually sleep on their beds every day but they also like sleeping on the floor and the couch.

I had an extensive mouth surgery on Monday. I have had several similar surgeries in the past; I have an inherited genetic condition that causes cysts in my mouth. This surgery was one of the bigger ones; the doctor called one of the cysts "humongous." I had to stay in the hospital overnight; I barely slept that night or the next due to the pain. I'm a high school student, so surgery messes up my schedule.

I missed school Monday; I won't be able to return to school until next Tuesday because I have a follow-up doctor's appointment next Monday. I have already missed two tests (Algebra II and History) and have several other assignments to make up. The threat of falling behind in school work is a little stressful.

These past two days have been routine; wake up, drink a lukewarm cup of coffee (my mouth can't handle temperatures too hot/cold) and browse the internet. "Luckily" WWE 2K15 for next gen consoles came out November 18th, the day after my surgery. I've been playing that game a lot. I completed both 2K showcases, I started myCareer, and I started my universe mode. The game is a lot of fun. Gradually, though, I've grown bored.

I miss school. Usually, I don't like school, but extended absence has made me look at school in a new light. I miss camaraderie; I miss my friends. I miss feeling like I'm doing something important (my school work) and something that has a purpose. Most of all, I miss my girlfriend. I haven't seen her since Sunday. I feel especially guilty because she has a lead role in our school play (a first for her) and I can't even be there to support her.

Funniest **** just happened to me.

So remember extra cookie girl from Subway I mentioned a few days ago? Well I went back tonight hoping she'd be there because the guys from work kept egging me on to try and pick her up. She was there. Of course she was working with another girl (and if I left things here it would be the perfect start of a Subway porno -- name possibilities would be endless) possibly making things more difficult but I was set on going through with this.

So I'm making the order for me and my roommate. The other girl is making conversation with me asking me where I'm staying, what I'm doing, etc. Anyways, the order gets made and extra cookie girl rings me up at the till. I ask her "can I get some extra napkins?". She hands me a huge stack so I give her some back. Then I go "actually, there's something wrong with this one." I lay it down on the counter and she literally looks down and examines it to see what I'm talking about. Then I hit her with what I thought was a golden line: "Your name and number aren't on it." She looks up and smiles, says "Haha, that's funny" aaaaaaand that was it. I didn't pull but it was hilarious regardless.

I get to go home for the weekend but I'm gonna go back and laugh about it when I get back. I'll say something like "you can't tell me that didn't make your day" or something along those lines. We'll see what happens, lol.
