Thanks! I know it's stupid, but with all the talk about form that video was good....I've done squat thrusts before, and thought they were the same but didn't know if something new was added. Might think about that ramp up in burpees, seems like by 100 a day or whatever it helps you out.

I have the FT7. I caught it on sale at Sports Authority and used a coupon to knock the price down. I like it a lot. The watch always connects to the HRM and it's very breathable. Every once in a while the HRM will slip down if my workout is really intense but that's usually only in the summers outdoors.

Best Buy price matched Amazon with no problem for the Polar FT4. About to try it out with Insanity here in a few. Interested to see the results.

For those who have done it, how much stress is put on the wrist during T25? I have a cyst on my wrist that grows with the help of wrist movement. I've never been a fan of pushups without a push bar because of stress it puts on the wrist as well. So if the workout is full of Burpee type activities I am thinking I might stick to P90X3 where they are limited because I can use push up bars. I've finally come to the realization I'll never be "ripped". So I think I am leaning towards just being able to run people out of the building by being in incredible cardio shape.

I'm right about 6' even and a hair over 200. But everyone thinks I'm like 170 or so. Which is good I guess, but I'm still no where near where I want to be.

There isn't a lot of stress on your wrist with T25. They also have modifiers if needed. I've yet to try P90X3 so I can't compare the two.

I am going to try this again - I am about 160 right now. I would like to lose a good 20-25 pounds.

Question - If I am trying to slim up, should I not work out as much? I am not working out at all now, but was going to do some light stuff around the house. I have a workout bench and was going to do pushups, ab exercises etc...

No, you should definitely work out. You need to find out your caloric needs per day and go from there. Take that number and subtract 500 calories or more per day with healthier eating choices and exercise.

Use the calorie calculator to determine how many calories you need in a day to maintain your weight, your daily caloric intake needs, or how many calories you need to burn to lose weight.

Going to the doctor tomorrow. Need to figure out if what I have is a cold or sinus infection. Felt like a cold at first but not noticing a difference in how I feel after taking cold medicine for several days.

It said to maintain my weight I need to eat 2628 calories a day. So you are saying subtract 500 - 2128. An app I have said to lose weight to cut down 1200 calories a day, but I think that was trying to lose 2 pounds a week.

1200 is as low as anyone should go but I don't recommend it.

2100 calories would net you a loss of a pound a week. I'm currently doing roughly 2000 calories a day and averaging about 2 lbs a week. My recommended calories are 2989 to maintain.

2lbs a week at your weight is silly. If you were morbidly obese that might be ok.

Just curious why you want to drop your weight to around 135-140? How tall are you?

Also a reminder when things are saying like "take 1g of protein per pound of body weight" they are talking about lean body mass not total weight. They have calculators available to figure out lean body mass but you'll most likely need to find out your body fat % first. You can do that with calipers or little gizmos like this
