What's your favorite ESPN talking head show?

Just wondering which ESPN show is liked most. Personally I can't really decide a favorite, and I'm not sure if the Sports Reporters even belongs on the list because they're a lot more professional. I watched that show every Sunday morning as a kid when I was at my Dad's for the weekend (Mom didn't have cable), and Dick Schaap was a great host. Now I'm a lazy slob and never wake up in time, although I think they're starting to replay it at noon now.

I loved SportsNation when it was Cowherd and Beadle, then Charissa was on and it was still ok, now that it's Marcellus and Max I don't really watch at all.

I do like the mixture of sports and pop culture or random video clips, which is why I love Highly Questionable, but they still do the athlete/coach/pundit interview segment which always bugs me. I hate the stupid interviews, I don't care what generic responses these guys have to the same questions over and over.

Numbers Never Lie, eh, I don't care for Michael Smith so I haven't really caught many episodes.

SVP & Russillo is top notch.

ATH & PTI have their moments. I'm probably forgetting a few shows. What do you guys like?

Are we talking just TV or radio as well?

I vote for none. I just want to know the scores. Because of that I just use the ESPN app.

I don't watch the TV shows so I'm stuck with the radio shows on my commute in and commute home.

I'll listen to M&M during the football season not because of them but because they do tend to get good guests but I'm really starting to like the Lebatard show so my choice would have to be other.

When I work from home it's just the Dan Patrick show for me.

I really really miss getting to hear Steve Czaban. Still think he does a show for ESPN in Baltimore?

Anytime I get a chance to catch to show I find myself entertained. I generally stick with the local sports TV and radio shows. Read most of my national sports news or opinions online.

Is it just me or did they completely screw that app up? Used to be so good but now it's just terrible.

Mike and Mike I guess would be my favorite since I listen to it on my morning commute. Dari and Mel on Saturday Mornings isn't bad either. I really liked Coach & Company in the afternoons before it got the axe, The Dan Lebatard show that replaced it, is growing on me.

First Take gets too much hate, they just play up a schtick for entertainment, I don't mind the show at all

I DVR Pardon the Interruption every day. Can do without the others. I catch some Mike & Mike on the radio every now and then early in the morning at work. Haven't watched First Take in many years. I refuse to listen to Skip Bayless speak. Cowherd can annoy me sometimes, but SportsNation, in his defense, is utterly unwatchable sans him and Beadle. Used to watch it every day with those two, not since.

It varies depending on what operating system your phone has. I had an IOS, it was kind of screwy, now I have android, it works better and the layout is different as well.

My only problem is that sometimes it won't auto update itself, like it use to. No you have to manually refresh the last section you were looking at.

Re: What's your favorite ESPN talking head show?

PTI was the gold standard but it's now like that HOF player who's coasting on reputation but can have a run of excellence every now and then.

I like the concept of Numbers Never Lie though when it comes to the end when they show what the numbers say I always think of that Mark Twain quote: "Lies, damn lies and statistics". I do like the chemistry of Hill and Smith though. I'll have to see if I can get to listen to their podcast.

The rest is just filler to me so i'll go with PTI fer old times sake.

I like PTI and Around the Horn but I voted for PTI. I wish they would both be in studio more often. It annoys me when they are in 2 different locations for the show.

                              First take definitely.

Always fun to see them start seriously and make some good points, then see Stephen A get lost in a bunch of 20 letter words and finish it all off with Skip making the most ridiculous statement he could come up with.
