Here's what the site used to look like, technically when I started visiting regularly. I think there was an older layout, too, that was red and cream-ish colored before this one... but I could easily be wrong as I didn't visit it too regularly then (in 99ish I was too obsessed with EverQuest to even care about any sports games.)

I didn't re-join for a while after the forums switched over, but I always kept reading them. I was too busy with being young and perfecting my CS game (I think it was actually still in beta in those dates the picture is from.)

Yeah, It opened up in late 99/early 00 sometime.

I think this version of the forums was in 2002, but not sure on that one.

Correct, which is why the earliest join date you'll see is in 2002.

Actually, I PM'ed a Mod to ask to have the year updated on my screen name and found out when it happened what the "unintended consequence" was...

I only found out about ANY of this stuff because I "Rage Erased" a PS2 memory card with all my Madden 2002 stuff on it (roster mostly) and had to call customer service for help...

The kid there sent me to Madden Mania, and the rest is...well, whatever the rest is...



That's where I found out about this game option called "sliders"...

lol, for me,when I first started using internet at school,we used it mostly just for Neopets(we were in like grade 1 or 2 or something when it first came out). I remember at school whenever it was "computer lab time" many people in my class would go on neopets and we'd just message each other through it(basically like our own instant messaging/texting system during class,so we could talk to each other without making noise/having teacher find out what we are saying). I still remember when scratchcards were created on neopets, that was best thing to look forward to in the game each day.

Then after Neopets fad died, people jumped to the runescape fad when that was first created too.

That, and cheatplanet(the greatest site ever(at least at the time)). Going on cheatplanet and finding out how to unlock the characters on mario kart, super smash bros and seeing how to do tricks(like the hugely infamous missingno trick) on pokemon.

The NBA forum used to be a damn trip. When DC and GSW got going on something it was too good to miss.

Cebby used to kill me too, he told it like it was.

I joined in 07, it's changed alot since then.

Edit: I still remember the Will Bynum and Anthony Morrow infatuation's LMAO, it's hilarious seeing how that panned out.

You aren't around that when guys like madskillz and a lame guy claimed to be rich would post and troll in there real hard. Both got celled and banned

Oh and what about the dude who threatened to beat up clay and showed a pic of himself flexing but was holding his muscle up with his fingers lol

Oh yeah it happened.

Oh and the first pro troll who made us laugh TM SKillz who was a big spurs fan
