I guess the best advice is to suck it up or prove them wrong. I mean it would be pretty easy to prove that you can play the song properly.

So I wasn't at school on Thursday, and apparently the two people in front of me told the teacher that me and the guy that sits next to me "don't play" and intentionally play wrong notes. The band teacher believes them (he always does) and yells at the guy who sits next to me and calls his parents.

Then today they let the two people in front of me tell me I suck and that I shouldn't play. Also, while the section was supposed to be practicing, the same tow who say I suck are messing around with their friends, but I tried to clean my insturment and the teacher tells me to "stop" and "keep playing".

            What should I do?
Beat the **** out of those two ****ers.

Honestly, though, just play. Your should be able to prove to your teacher that you're playing. If the teacher really does believe what these two are saying, then maybe you should quit. You shouldn't have to put up with that (assuming we have the whole story).

Change instruments. Be a percussionist. It's what I did, best decision I ever made in band class. No one can touch you. You. Are. GOD.

                Re: Problems in Band

So today I sit down in class and talk to my friend who sits next to me. Then, one of the two people who sits next to me randomly tells me to shut the f*** up. I tell them that they suck (the first time) and the band teacher tells me to meet him in his office after class.

So, after class I walk out of the room without meeting with him, and I'm currently in lunch now.

                  Re: Problems in Band

Are there any other band classes you could switch in to? Or just another class in general you could switch into?

Really isn't worth it being in this class if every day is gonna be like that.

Crazy to hear a story like that cause my classes were the exact opposite of yours.Everyone always got along during the class and it was basically the one part of school for me that I always looked forward to.

I could switch to another band class, but it would mess up my schedule which I don't want to change.

Plus band has always been an easy A for me anyways lol.

Well, that's certainly not going to help things. By walking out of class without talking to the teacher, you probably just made things worse. You should have gone to meet with him and calmly explained your side of the story.

I know but I was really mad at what happened that I wouldn't have been calm enough to respetfully talk to him.

Sometimes ignoring the person is the right thing to do. Not talking to your teacher is just gonna lead to the wrong path and makes me think there is more to the story.

I know, I'm probably going to apologize to the teacher for not staying during the next class period.

But I brought my insturment home because I'm going to challenge the 1st chair on Monday. That way I can show them who really sucks .

You've got a lot of growing up to do. If you can't remain calm in situations like these, you'll become an easy target.

The worst people know how to manipulate the situation and if you are easily riled, they will make you look foolish and at fault. If you remain calm, you remain in control of the situation. Turn the tables on them and have a calm logical discussion, they won't know what to do once you aren't rattled.
