Re: Off Topic 2015
I had two aquatic turtles for about two years. While they are nice to look at especially if you have a nice tank setup, I hated having them. Cleaning the tank was a bitch, the filters were not enough on how much **** you had to deal with. It was just too much hassle. It wasn't like having fish which is a piece of cake compared to taking care of a water turtle.
I spent good amount of money too getting a nice big tank for them. Once a month you have to pump out that ****ty water in a bucket then had to haul that tank outside to clean it properly.
You also have to keep track of the water temperature and have the right lamps, water conditioner. For a good setup, you'll spend a couple hundred bucks.
Also if you touch the turtles with your hands you'll probably have salmonella on them so you have to wash your hands immediately after touching them.
Don't get me wrong I love turtles, I have the pleasure of diving with them where I live and its magical seeing them in the ocean but when you have to deal with them as pets its a pain in the *** and it takes dedication to take care of them and upkeep their environment so I highly do not recommend them for kids.Last edited by RockinDaMike; 01-05-2015, 11:34 AM.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
Thanks for that information. It was just a thought from my wife, but I have spent a good amount of time since posting the question researching turtles as pets and I have came to the conclusion that I do not want any turtles as pets. You pretty much summed up why.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
I'm working on filling up my left arm now. Not a sleeve so much as a collection of different tattoos.
Is there a general look you have in mind? Lots of styles to choose from. I'm filling my arm with American traditional at the moment. There's a lot of great black and gray, and Japanese traditional out there too, as well some artists who are pushing new frontiers. Or a nice custom piece is always an option. Instagram is a pretty good source for tattoos, all the top artists are on there posting their work.
Two of mine are tributes to family members in mainly black and grey,, and the other is just a family related piece in full color. For me all the concepts for what I have, and am developing have strictly come from me. I never look up tattoos anymore, I come up with them on my own and I'll talk to my artist, since I've had the same guy do all three, and won't go anywhere else, we talk a little bit where I can bounce ideas off of him and start to plan things out. I never had a style in mind, as I didn't really understand styles until I had a couple and understood tattooing more. As for me, I'm just going with s bunch of big pieces that don't flow together, and at the end of the day, ill wrap them into sleeves/halfs.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

Just gonna leave that there.
So, I've been playing through the Uncharted games. I finished up Drake's Fortune and started Among Thieves this weekend. I really enjoyed the first one, but man that opening in the second one is nuts.

Uncharted 2 is an amazing game. Enjoy it. 3 isn't as good, but it's good enough to play through.
But 2. 2 might be the best game of that entire gen.
/waits for the inevitible Uncharted shadeComment

My first big tattoo was a custom piece that I came up with the concept for, and then let the artist work with and he really turned into something better than I had even pictured.
So I'm just getting a few big/intermediate sized pieces on my left arm, and then filling in between with smaller flash and "filler". I've still got some pretty big areas that I can, and would like to, cover with awesome bigger pieces too; chest, back, right arm, legs, basically the rest of my body lol.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
Yeah that's how I started. These are my three. They take up a good amount of room, so I'd really just need something on the inside of my right arm and I'd have it wrapped into a 1/4-half sleeve, depending how low I wanna go. My left arm I'll probably do something on the back of my arm and maybe lower below my cross, as I wanted to maybe add to it. So I'm set up pretty well for being 23. Hahah.
But yeah. I built up a good relationship with my artist. I get them done in Green Bay, which is back home from college for me. I went home last summer to do my cards even though I stayed at school over summer. My first one Donald Driver was in the chair next to me. Hah. But then after I did my angel, I asked Josh., my artist if he knew/recommended any shops around where I was transferring to school, and he said one or two, but said even if I did any work there he wanted to wrap up my half sleeves. That was convincing for me to stick with him. Then when I did my cards he gave me a great deal on them, and normally you only get one free touch up with them, we kept working on them till we got them perfect. So I was convinced no other person with ever touch me with a needle unless it's Josh. I talk to him about once a month or so to bounce ideas off. We've probably talked enough that if I won the lottery tomorrow, I could sit down and do two full sleeves and a chest piece. Hah. I think that's pretty cool for me just being an 18 year old kid who walked into the shop with not a clue about tattoos 5 years ago.

3 was a giant pile to me compared to 2. Worth it to get through the story, but man was it way less enjoyable.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment
