While everybody else is (rightfully), arguing over the age difference (I say you're fine, although you're older than I thought you were), my main concern is this is a girl you work with. I'm aware there are exceptions and plenty of couple who work together, but in a world that can be as he said-she said as the retail break room can be, I'd be cautious about ****ting where you sleep.

I actually agree. I've ****ed with a lot of chics I've worked with and it usually turns into a cluster. Only one time it didn't and she just happens to be my current girlfriend.

I've ruined many a friendships crossing that line. Gotta think about if it's worth it. (most of those times it was).

I won't even tell you how many years older my wife is than I am....I got married when I was 21.....been married to her for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG(for a clue on how many years I'm married...count the O's)
I've never even been to Kentucky.

It's probably okay though because she's older then you and not the other way around.

For a guy to do it, it's "disgusting", for a girl to do it, it's probably "hot".

There's just something fundamentally wrong about dating a girl when you're almost 30, and she's still a teenager. It doesn't even sound right.

A 7-year age difference doesn't matter if he's 29 and she's 22. I'm sure his boys might give him a little bit of a hard time, but it's okay at that point.

19 is fresh outta high school. It just doesn't sit right with me.

However...she is over 18, so do what makes you happy, Dayman.

Don't really think age matters after high school. Sometimes big age gaps (this isn't even that big) produce some of the more functional relationships. Sometimes they don't.

I actually do generally agree, but it always depends on the actual people.

Dayman doesn't come off to me as that guy who's trying to pull in younger chicks to hang on to past youth. He happened to stumble into a cool relationship with a coworker. If he thinks she's mature enough to be worth asking her out, then more power to him.

A couple years and it won't even matter. Literally because she'll be older and the ages will blend more, and also because if they're together for a while, it's obviously a serious thing so everyone can back off the jokes.

For the record, my wife is older then me by 1.5 years. She struggled with it a bit sometimes as we were getting older (started dating at 16 & 18), now it's not even a thing. I think it's just a perception thing as her friends were like "HE'S A SOPHOMORE!!" and they wouldn't even entertain the idea of dating my friends who fawned over them (and still do). Now one of those girls dates someone who is my age. We wouldn't have gotten married and spent all these years together if she really listened to her friends. That would have been such a shame.

It's a Target job. If it gets awkward I'll find a new one. If this was my career, I'd definitely agree. But it's just a crap job to get some money while I'm in college. I can do that pretty much anywhere.

Then tee it off man. The person I consider to be my best friend is a 19 year old girl and she's honestly got her life together more than most girls my age (21) and shows much more maturity. She was a Freshman when I was a Senior in HS and we're so close she may as well be my sister. Age is a typically a factor but not always a rule.

It's absurd. From what I heard, my old JCP coworkers still gossiped about me and this girl for months after we left. Hell, I've been gone for almost a year and even now my supervisors still ask me about it if I ever come into the store.

Oh, and **** workplace gossip while we're on that topic. It's currently in the process of costing me a best friend.

My best friend happened to be a girl I work with, I'm sure you've all been annoyed with our Twitter antics in the past, and recently we learned of a rumor going around that we were more than friends.

We're not. And she's had the same boyfriend for 8 years. And now she's so super scared of that rumor getting back to him and causing her relationship problems that we barely talk and I haven't seen her outside of work in like 2 weeks. We used to hang out most days. There was a run there when I was on winter break and had nothing else to do that we were together literally every day for a month.

In fairness, I can definitely see where people got that idea about us. And on my end I just thought it was funny. But still.

Now I never get to see her and I barely talk to her. All because of work gossip. So **** that noise.

Not even being my normal sexist self, but that is definitely not true. Of all the jobs I had guys are more of "would you hit that" type of ****. Chics come to work talking about someone's universe. Females are 10x worse with gossip ****.

I realize how girl obsessed (stupidly) i was back in the first half of 2014.
