Re: Off Topic 2015
I'm sitting there at work yesterday bored out of my mind - we've made more money in an hour at that store countless times than we did in the 6 hours I worked yesterday - and was thinking about a movie of a guy that gets a head injury and was unconscious. The dude wakes up in the hospital and is perfectly fine, but instead of acting fine, he acts like he doesn't remember anyone.
So the whole movie follows him with his friends and family as he tries to find out how they'll bend the truth, or straight out lie, about their past to make it seem like they were better people, closer together, etc. The guy gets a chance to see his friends/family in a whole new light by doing this.
I kept flip flopping and thinking for 1 second that sounds great. Then I thought it was the stupidest idea for a movie ever. Right now I am stuck in the "stupidest move idea ever" phase. So am I an idiot, or does that idea have potential, or both?“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Off Topic 2015
Never attend. I am still in contact with the people from HS that are worth it. The rest would just be insincere small talk. An entire social gathering consisting of that is not something I would enjoy.Comment

Depends on where your life is at that point lol. The whole cliche thing of going to a reunion just to make yourself look good to people who used to know you lol.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2015
I went to a small school and graduated with only about 40 people. Less than half of that came to our last reunion, but it was fun. We got together at our elementary school gym and ate, then played basketball with the kids. Later that night we met up for dinner, then went out afterwards. All of us are spread out now and it's rare that we get to see each other, so it was nice catching up.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: Off Topic 2015
Our school never even had a 20th.(would have been in 2007).
I asked around thinking they didn't have my address; nobody got an invite. I always thought it'd be cool to attend though.Comment

Ten year is happening this year. Not going. Those who I cared to keep in contact with, I have. And I don't feel like hearing, "You became a teacher?!" every five minutes.

Re: Off Topic 2015
If your spouse went to the same school, it's fine to bring them, but if they aren't from the same school and area, not a great idea. My wife is happy she will never need to attend another one. The last one was boring to her and I don't blame her.
Reunions are for the graduates that stayed in the surrounding area. 300 dollar plane tickets, 100 dollar hotel rooms and like ImtellingTim said, conversations you don't need.
How's it going, what do you do, where do you work, how many kids, etc.... Oh, and we have the best kids, yada, yada, yada.....
