The carwash. It was the worst. I've worked as a cashier at a local grocery store, a floor assistant at Costco which just means you do all the **** nobody else wanted to do, but they all pale in comparison to the car wash. It was a living hell.

I worked at Gamestop during the Wii launch.

Now that I think about it, my 13 month bid in Collections when I was 19 was probably the worst. On critical days (the 15th and the last business day of the month), they would crank that dialer up to ungodly levels. You barely finished saying goodbye to one customer before the next one was on the phone.

Anytime you refer to a job as a bid, you know it was bad. Had my fair share of those too. Lol.

Throwing semi trucks for Walmart during the summer of 2008. Shift was 4pm to 1am which resulted in me never having a social life.

Sometimes only 2 or 3 people would show up (myself included). One person would get in the truck and put the items on the sliding rail while the others put them in their designated area. The semi would be hot as hell. I would sync my workout days with throwing the truck. On days in which we gave no ****s, we'd throw **** in their area instead of placing them. Resulted in many broken fans, fish tanks, tvs, etc. I then realized all people aren't bull****ing when they buy things from Walmart and bring them back a day later saying they were broke or never worked.

After getting everything out of the truck, we then had to load it up and take out on the floor so the 3rd shift stockers could put them up.

Then we'd be asked to get carts. I'd always go get the farthest carts from the store.

If we'd busted our asses enough and did a good job, we'd then be 'asked' to help the stockers put **** up.

By far the worst ****ing job in my entire life.

First job was at McDonald's.

I was caught by a-hole manager giving my friends extra fries. So I guess this gave him permission to screw me over.

I went in to work early Saturday morning... He told me to put on gloves and clean out the fry cleaning station.

Then he told me to do it again the following day. I said FU and left.

I was a bagger at Kroger for I think a month or two. What I found out is people with little power like to show that they have it. I've still never had a supervisor as bad as I did when I worked there.

Worked at Panera for a few months my freshman year of college...the work was what you'd expect from a food service job, but my supervisors and the middle aged people that worked there were some of the most condescending a-holes I've ever met.

Osco Drug my last year of colleges wasn't great either. The store manager didn't like me for some reason and always made me 1st checker. The other college kid who worked there he loved and always had him stocking or chit chatting with the manager and assistant manager in the warehouse. I'd spend my whole shift up front ringing people out and then calling for him when it got busy, and then he'd get to go back to stocking as soon as it slowed down.

The job itself wasn't strenuous but standing behind a register for 4 to 5 hours at a time sucked when I was supposed to be on the floor for at least half my shift stocking. Sometimes we had real jerk customers who complained about prices so that was fun to deal with. When I was hired I was told they fairly divided up the register/stocking times so you wouldn't get stressed out dining people up but that never happened. I worked there for 8 months and found out the reason why they liked that kid was because he was going into the manager training program after college.

I've only had 3 jobs and have enjoyed them all. I work at an Universities machine shop, Walmart and now the Coast Guard.
