She's such a precious pet of ours and so incredibly well behaved. I genuinely love her like I would a daughter.
Yesterday we noticed an infection in her eye and the vet noticed some fluid around her lungs (which he treated with an anti-biotic). But everything was essentially fine and our vet wasn't worried at all.
This morning she seemed back to her normal self so I went to work (10 AM). My fiancé went to work at 3 PM. Again, she's fine.
So paranoid me leaves work early to check in on her and when I get home she's crawled under the TV stand essentially looking for a place to die. WTF? She has fluid around her mouth and she's not breathing well.
I take her to the vet and he's immediately getting her in for x-Rays. She has fluid around her heart.
The vet told me she needs to be hooked up to an oxygen machine and might not make it. He said it would be expensive.
I told him if there's a chance, I don't care about the money.
The chances are 60/40 and we may not hear one way or the other until morning.
Here she is, the best bahaved kitty on Earth.
