There are so many questions that are making my decision difficult. One, do I lose any of the 20 million to taxes? Two, if I miss all 10 and that is very likely, do I have any chance to get out of jail early for good behavior or whatever.

But ultimately I go no, strictly for the fact that I know there is not a good chance I make any of 10 shots.

what kind of prison are we talking about, low, medium, high, or ultra max? What if anything goes on your record for when you get out, will I be able to get a job?

If it was low Security and didnt show up on any criminal record then yes, If I miss all 10 I go to prison for 2 years and get a college degree...

For sure. I'm pretty confident in my ability to hit one out of ten from half court. Perhaps unrightfully so.

I'm pretty good at shooting half court shots, so I'm inclined to take a shot at it.... no pun intended

With that said, I imagine the stress would be unbearable if I were to miss the first six or seven shots. I still think that I would take it though.

Under normal circumstances I would like to think with 10 attempts I could make 1, but with the potential of going to prison if I miss them I think the pressure would be too much lol.

So I'd probably pass on it.... Plus it is just money. A lot of money, but still money. Don't think it's worth risking going to prison for.

Absolutely.


Used to shoot half court shots all the time @ the Y and became fairly decent at them. I'd bet on myself to make 1 out of 10.

Since I couldn't make a shot if I was standing on a ladder above the basket I think I will pass.

I'd probably pass no matter what, due to the risk.

Now it's no contest, I'd have to pass....I have a wife and kid, can't afford to be in jail for 2 years. Maybe when single it'd be worth the risk, but still thinking no.

I'll make sure to write you guys about what's happening at OS and put a few dollars in your prison account. Hopefully they have some good ramen noodles in the commissary.

This would be a cool challenge to do here. Put some sort of wager on it.

As for the question. Yeah I'm doing it absolutely. I used to be able to make them pretty regularly back in college.

I think you can use the internet in prison now, so after I miss my ten shots, I'm sure I would be even more of a regular in the "What Grinds My Gears" thread.
