I'd want to play in Philadelphia if it was football or hockey. Baltimore or San Francisco for baseball. San Fran for basketball.
I wouldn't want to play in New York for any sport (especially the Yanks or Giants). Same with any Dallas city (especially the Cowboys, although playing for Popp in San Antonio could be cool)Comment

Since I hate really bad traffic I would say:NY, LA, SF. I can deal with the cold(and since I'm getting drafted and will be wealthy I can afford nice winter gear) I'm going to say no Florida teams since it's the humidity that sucks.
My top city is easily Seattle. I like that kind of weather, great city, and no state income tax.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: If you were drafted by a pro team, where would be the City you wouldn't want to g
Since baseball is the only sport I ever really saw myself actually doing something with, I'll use major league cities.
Least want to play in...
1. New York - Hate traffic, not a big fan of using public transit, too much attention. Just not my kind of city.
2. Boston - Similar to New York, but also not a fan of the weather that far north.
3a. Detroit - I think most already covered why not Detroit.
3b. St. Louis - Don't think I could play for a team I've always hated.
Most want to play in...
1. Toronto - Who wouldn't want to play for their favorite team?
2. Cleveland - Lived in the area for years so it's the closest thing I can get to "home" since Memphis doesn't have a major league team.
3. Houston - A southern team with a retractable roof. I'll take it! I've been to multiple Rangers and Astros games in the middle of summer. I'll take the comfort of air conditioning on the really horrible days.Comment

Cities to play in? Definitely Portland. Portland's weird.

Salt Lake City would be nice. Gorgeous town.

I'd be pretty good with anywhere that doesn't get too hot during the summer. I can tolerate the cold, but I absolutely hate being drenched in sweat all the time.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

If I was a truly elite athlete it might be fun to be in Cleveland or one of those not as desirable cities. You could lift them to championships and be idolized forever.
If I wasn't that good I'd probably look more towards weather and other ideas. West Coast or Seattle/Vancouver could be tempting.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I gave my list for baseball only, but thinking about more, here's a list in general:
Detroit - I'm just not a fan. I don't like the Tigers, and the city is a mess. Pistons are rising, but it will be a while. Please don't take offense if you live there or live near there.
Dallas - Too hot. I don't mind the heat, but I do mind all of their teams. I've grown up to hate the Cowboys, and only the Mavs and Stars actually play in the city.
Nashville - I couldn't stand all the country music all the time.
Atlanta - I've never wanted to go to the city. The fans seem to give up at the first sign of negativity. The Braves are moving stadiums, again, the Thrashers left a few years ago, and the Falcons play in a less than stellar dome.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment

I would just like to say that I don't like this argument for any team.I gave my list for baseball only, but thinking about more, here's a list in general:

Re: If you were drafted by a pro team, where would be the City you wouldn't want to g
Well, for me, at least it's a big part of it. I wouldn't want to play for the Patriots because Foxboro is so small, and not that close to Boston. Arlington is close enough to Dallas in this case, but it's an important matter. It makes it a longer commute that it has to be.Red Sox|Patriots|Celtics|UConnComment
