Single life in today's world is CRAZY!

I have the funniest story about trying to handle two facebook conversations with two women at the same time, but to properly tell it, I would be banned from OS-for life. I'll just say one of the ladies is an amazing Christian woman who was sharing some Godly advice or something, while the other was telling me what she wanted to do to me. It got to the point where I was laughing so hard, I couldn't respond to either. Can you imagine if I had gotten the two conversations crossed? I greatly respect and have known for years the Christian lady, and the other I haven't even met, but she saw me somewhere with a mutual friend of ours, got my name, and decided to aggressively chase me. It feels good to be wanted, but women are forward now! Should I start dating again, I know the one I SHOULD go out with, and I know the one I WANT to go out with.

The lady I think is a solid woman is my age, in her 40s, and the wild thing is 27.

I'll take a different angle here that was posed to me when I was a younger man.... do you really wanna be with someone (once or who knows how many times), that would basically "do" anyone else? Think about it.

              1. "Variety" girl has probably had a lot of sex with a lot of people.
              2. You've just had sex with Variety girl.
              3. You've just had sex with the lot of people with whom Variety girl has had sex.

Whats stopping you from laying up the 27 one first, then moving on to the "women"? I'm just throwing it out there, you got options

I won't argue your values but you shouldn't be arguing anyone else's either. People need to be honest and safe... whatever else they do is up to them, as long as all parties are on the same page.

I hate to tell you but colleges around the country (world?) are full of "variety" girls who mature and will go to their grave with their skeletons in the closet. Most of us have no idea how many previous partners or crazy experiences women we are talking to have had. Life will be challenging if you're worried about that. As long as they aren't carrying the results of that past around with them (protect yourself), let the past be in the past.

Good points, but not all mature...so depending on what you're looking for you may end up with a whole bag of crazy too...

Depends what he wants...if he wants someone to date and have a real relationship, then young one might not be the best option....

She might be the most fun though. If that's his thing.

I will say this, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Not all women put their personal life out there 100%. Also people can change instantly, you really just never know until you date them. I have friends who dated "variety" girl and they been married for the past 15 years now. If you met her you would never would have guessed how wild she was when she was younger.

Also have friends who dated women like the woman in her 40s who behind closed doors acts just like variety girl and will make you question how she knows all these type of skills. So you really can't judge people by their past and what they say all the time. You actually have to date them yourself.

I'm getting married in a year so my days of philandering around are over but you better believe i take the car on a test drive before I sign the papers. I have nothing wrong with anyone who wants to wait until marriage, I personally would not as I feel a healthy sex life is vital to a good marriage. So I want to know what its going to be like for THE REST OF MY LIFE. Im 31 and I plan on living to at least 70, 39 years is a long time to be unhappy with something.

Re: Single life in today's world is CRAZY!

I'm not sure what I said for the 27 year old to become "Variety Girl" or for her to be someone who has done everyone else. She is aggressive because she feels she is in competition with other women. I actually talked to her about it and told her she needed to dial it back a bit. She was embarrassed and said she just wanted to get my attention. I by no means buy that I'm special, but she just got out of an 8 year relationship and said she did what she sees her other friends doing to get men's attention. She turned out to be very nice and owns her own business. We talk some and are friends. She wants more, but I'm going slowly and am not ready for a relationship. I'm happy she pursued me; she's a sweet girl, just a little misguided.

As for the woman who is my age, she is locked in where she lives for years due to court orders, and I am stuck living in my town for the same reasons. I don't see how we could ever have anything. A ten year long distance relationship wouldn't work. She's a great lady, but I don't see how we could make even dating work. Too much distance.

The minute he posted his original question, this became a discussion/argument/debate or whatever other term you want to put in there about this very matter. You can argue with my values all you want and I'll be prepared to debate back. But don't tell me not to present my points in a forum where for which points and justifications are asked. The moment someone posts a point, it's fair game for discussion.

Yes, the bottom line is that his decision is something he can live with and not based on what other people say, because they can only base it on their values.
