I signed up for a Gamefly trial just to rent NHL 17. The availability said low, but not out of stock. Hasn't been shipped and I'm losing days of my trial because I don't want any other games.

Never used the service before. Am I just out of luck until they get more in stock? I feel kind of cheated out of my free trial...

(Yeah it's not costing me anything but it's disappointing.)

Are you on Xbox? If so you should try EA Access for the month. But you probably already knew that which means your probably on PS4 if I had to guess...

It's part of their master plan. Send it out with a couple days left on the trial and you have to pay up to play the game.

Maybe they don't have any copies left now. I know on the GS website the in stock stuff is updated like once during the day and it's usually early morning. Maybe GameFly does the same thing and they don't have any copies left.

It was low on Saturday, the day I signed up. Checked today and it said "Very low" so it seems to have been updated.

I wanted to give them some time but I think I'll contact them tomorrow and see what's up. I'm sure they'll just tell me to rent other games but I don't want anything else. Maybe I can have a different distribution center ship it. Apparently I'm closest to their one in Pittsburgh. Game is super new too.

Do you have any video stores in your local area? I just rented it today from my local place. And I would check Redbox too.

I don't know of any places that rent video games these days. Any video stores around me have been closed for years.

I was originally thinking Redbox but their online listings didn't have NHL 17 as an option. Maybe I'll swing by one this week and see for myself.

Ah, that sucks. I'm so glad my town has one. Its actually a small chain throughout Northeast Ohio called Family Video. And yes, they rent porn....at FAMILY Video.

Anyone remember those "Gumball Helmets"? They use to have them, baseball helmets and goalie helmets(if I remember right) at my local grocery stores as a kid. Still have a box full of the football ones.

Unfortunately, low pretty much means you're not getting it. Very low definitely means you won't. New releases basically have to be in your Q before they're released to get them most of the time.
