Re: Off Topic 3: Civil War
When I was station in New Orleans I would do Snowball runs for the guys at work at this local place near the station. They gave them to us for free but we would put money in their college fund jar. I'm pretty sure we paid for 4 years at Tulane the 18 months I was there.MLB: Texas Rangers
Soccer: FC Dallas, Fleetwood Town
NCAA: SMU, UTA
NFL: Dallas Cowboys
NHL: Dallas Stars

I can hit a snowball stand with a rock from my front yard. It's one of the best ones in the area too. We get a nice neighbor discount and an occasional freebie. It's pretty sweet. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

To the folks that watch both series (no spoilers!): is The Arrow just as good?Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Off Topic 3: Civil War
Just finished watching Flash S1 on NetFlix. By far, the best series I've watched in a while...such good writing and acting; makes Supergirl (which I've been watching since day 1) look like fluff in comparison.

Off Topic 3: Civil War
Arrow is definitely worth checking out if you enjoyed Flash. Definitely a little darker. Will say it kind of goes up and down in terms of quality in S3 and 4. S2 is some of the best TV I've seen recently tho.

Re: Off Topic 3: Civil War
After these past years of taking care of my sick grandmother, my unreliable close relatives have finally stepped in to relieve me of my duties. It was beginning to take a toll on me, from the insomnia, dealing with depression , pacing back and forth anytime she would cough, being limited to certain jobs to work around this added responsibility, on top of raising my son.
I've been contemplating taking another one of my relatives up on an offer of moving to Upper Marlboro, Maryland to piece my life back together. Even on top of my grandmother giving her blessing to go ahead , I still feel guilty if I was to leave.
On the other hand I feel I have to make this move for the future of my child. I'm just all around scared to go, and even if I go I don't know if I'll have enough time to get everything right. I don't want to become a burden to my relative's life with him being married with two kids.
I'm pretty limited in my mind when it comes to the work field, no college degree, and not much work experience outside of retail/restaurant field besides my janitorial stint working for the city at NYCHA. To make matters worst I'm completely anti social and don't know if I'll ever shake it to make such a big move in my life.
Four years closer to 30 and I'm already having a mid life crisis an I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's just driving me insane day by day.Horseshoes & HollyWoodComment
