20 years ago today the first Harry Potter book came out! As much as I love the movies, I've barely ever read the books lol. Though I've still done book reports on some lol.

I've been going through the series again this year. I'm currently through Goblet of Fire. I think Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite, but I haven't actually read Deathly Hallows before so we'll see.

Going through like watching movies or reading book?

Unfortunately for me, the final few movies got spoiled because of the books. The obvious Half-Blood Prince one which became such a huge internet meme with people spoiling it left and right.

          Movie wise, I'd rank it:
          Half-Blood Prince
          Deathly Hallows 2
          Prisoner of Azkaban
          Deathly Hallows 1
          Order of the Phoenix
          Goblet of Fire
          Philosopher Stone
          Chamber of Secrets

I've read all the books at least 3 times. Couldn't count how many times I've seen the movies.

The books. I'm not nearly as enamored with the movies.

I've seen it so much, but still can't believe after each rewatched I seem to find a new fact in the movies.

Re: Off Topic 2017: Fallen Kingdom

So my honeymoon is off to a rough start, Flight from Syracuse to Toronto was delayed 4 hours so we missed our connection to Amsterdam. Best Air Canada could do was get us into Lisbon but that flight was delayed 3 hours so we missed our connection to Amsterdam again. Currently we are 3 hours into a 6 hour layover, should get into Amsterdam around midnight tonight.

When we get in at midnight, that will be 24 hours flying or sitting in a airport. Done with Air Canada, other than the plane not crashing, it's gone about as bad as it can.

Never read any Harry Potter books or watched any Harry Potter movies...am I the only one who has no interest whatsoever in that stuff? I feel that nobody ever admits to not liking it?

3 was my favorite too with Sirius, Harry learning more about the past, and the back in time thing was bad ***.

OK, so then I'm not the only one. Good to know. It just seemed to me like whenever someone brings up Harry Potter in any context, everyone else starts raving about how much they love it and how many times they've read the books. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just an observation that I'd made at some point.
