What kind of skills?

Most skills you will learn better from experience.

Most skills sure, but right now just being confined to a computer for 8 hours a day, can't just go out and learn by doing. Mentioned photoshop/illustrator as ones which I'm sure also require experience too.

So really anything computer related that I could just read up on online to give me better understanding of it.

99% killing time(yes, my job is still that boring lol, literally my only assigned task today is wait for a reply to an email I sent a client. So if they don't reply back, I got nothing else to do)

1% actually finding out useful info that might help me in a general sense on computers regardless which field I'm in

Your job situation sounds like the beginning of a thriller. A guy hires you, but doesn't tell you what you are doing/when you are starting. You get a call out of nowhere to start when you didn't expect. Suddenly the guy who "hired" you is gone, with no explanation. They are paying you to sit and kill time while you wait for an email reply. Seriously...it's got the makings of a great book/movie.

Honestly, I would just read whatever interests you whether its computer science, history, philosophy, etc.

To make this story even better...they're hiring someone else to start next week working in same position as I am. You can't make this up. I honestly got no idea what they'll be doing, or how they can even work since there's 0 work space for a new person(work is done on computers,and there's no available computer). I hope they don't got same shift as me. They'll kill my ability to clock out early.

To make this story even better...they're hiring someone else to start next week working in same position as I am. You can't make this up. I honestly got no idea what they'll be doing, or how they can even work since there's 0 work space for a new person(work is done on computers,and there's no available computer). I hope they don't got same shift as me. They'll kill my ability to clock out early.

This place is all about healthy competition in the workplace. Just make sure that you do a better job waiting for that email to come in than whatever jamoke they bring in.

Nope, that's a live action show called the Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog.

Produced by the Power Rangers company (Saban). It was about 5 knights that could control the elements (fire, air, water, earth, and...FOREST).

It was only around for 1 season in 98. But I had action figures of the blue one and the silver one.

It's not about replacing me or anything. They just don't know what to do really and are hiring more than they need since they've only been around for a year or so. If anything, I'm lucky to get this position first because I'll be the example set and basically proof they don't need this as full time job paying the amount they're giving me.
