Re: Anyone else enjoy doing yard work?

I went out to my Mom's house in the country while she and my step dad are on vacation to do some yard work today, per their request, it's been like 3 or 4 years since they needed me to help cut grass and stuff. It felt great. Sunny, 85 degrees, beautiful day, I took extra time to walk around out back just to admire my work lol. It's been awhile but I felt like I did really well, and even though I felt like a dork walking around out back, double checking if I missed anything, that fresh cut smell made me linger around and enjoy it a bit more haha. Gotta love when your yard work plans coincide with perfect weather

Been a crazy start to the Spring around these parts between being wet, cold, and a times warm and strong storms.

Finally cut my grass for the first time over the weekend, but it was so damp that I really didn't do anything but cut it down so that I wouldn't lose the dog when she was outside in the high grass.

Looking forward to the weekend as its supposed to be warm, sunny and dry and getting my yard in shape for warm weather curbside appeal.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

My girl loves to work in the yard and makes me do that, so I also "like to" work in the yard.

Less than a week ago it snowed.

So of course this weekend I'm raking the lawn and getting ready to mow it maybe in a week or two after putting down some grass seeds all over.

Anyone here know of any vinyl fences that are able to be raked/racked?

I'm looking to put a privacy fence around our backyard this summer and we probably will go vinyl, though wood isn't off the table. My yard isn't completely flat, but no slope is extreme. The worst spots are only a few degrees, but I'm not wanting to go the step method if possible. I know I could build my own wooden fence if I took the time and could make it flow with the different slopes well, but if there are any panels out there at all that can be adjusted, then I'm interested at least.

If you didn't get an answer, yes they can. They should be built onsite and you just need to cut the ends of the vertical panels to match the angle of the bottom and top horizontal pieces that hold the panels in place. It will be fine unless you have a lumpy yard with a bunch of high and low spots. That would be a problem for any fence though.

Already got done raking the lawn before things start growing. Obviously lots of dead grass raked up, hopefully that makes a noticeable difference with more room in the dirt for grass seeds.

As long as it's comfortable out I have no problem doing yard work. Now if its 100 degrees out then no lol.

That's why I ironically do stuff like mow the lawn if it's cloudy.

It's natural to want to go when it's nice and sunny and stuff, but if it's warm outside, that means you'll feel hot, but if it's cool, you'll feel warm, because you'll obviously feel warmer the more active you are outside.

Though I know some people on my street who take that a bit extreme. Nobody likes doing outdoor work when it's so hot at 2pm or something, but doesn't mean you gotta start mowing the lawn and following it up with a leafblower after 8pm on a weekday.

I came here to mention doing this only to see this post from exactly 2 years ago saying the exact same thing.

Do I actually like, have to put seeds on my lawn or something to get this **** to grow? Or does it regenerate automatically? I mean some of it is green.

I ****ing hate lawn stuff, I've come to find out.
