Thanks, things took a turn for the worst yesterday. I was supposed to go with my mother to my niece's 4th birthday party and just before we were heading off we got a call from the doctors. Turns out my father developed serious internal bleeding and the kidney was losing some function. Needless to say my mother was a wreck and we went to the hospital instead. My father had to have a couple blood transfusions. Things are a LOT better now. The kidney is fine though my father is still experiencing some bleeding. They're trying to avoid doing another procedure to stop the bleeding. He's awake and is doing as well as he can in ICU.


Thanks for the support everyone. I'll keep you appraised of the goings on.

Those things are always so scary. The human body is very fragile and we are incredibly lucky to have people who can help maintain the sturdiness of life. I know the doctors/surgeons are doing all that they can to help him, and I wish him the speediest of recoveries.

Update: Wow my father's gone through like 8 bags of blood! Anyways things have stabilized a lot now and my father is being more receptive and talkative. The doctor feels like if he has a good night tonight that he will be going back to his old room tomorrow. I'm cautiously optimistic that the worst is over.

I guess I been out of the loop for a longwhile when it comes to Halloween but is combining two things into one costume been around awhile or is it this year that its started? The reason I ask, on Bob's burgers, gene was andre the giant 3000, tina was nun your business (nun outfit w/briefcase)
then on the Conners, becky was sharknad o'connor (sharknado and sinead o'conner).

We dress up because my work does a Halloween contest every year with prizes for 1st ($500), 2nd ($300) and 3rd ($200) place, then they do another couple of hundred dollars worth of gift cards in random drawing for everyone who dressed up. This year our CEO was so impressed with the participants that he doubled all of the prizes. We didn't place this year though.

I wore an orange jack-o-lantern shirt.

I was the most festive. The second most festive was a guy who wore an orange "This is my costume" tee.
