This passing is quick pain and it's lingering. She was more than a legend. A blazing diva who personified the word to it's core and that is made clearer and clearer the more I read about her and the shade she threw across the industry.

I've always loved her 60s output and unfortunately am significantly less familiar with her work after that period, but I have come to appreciate her legacy even more as I find out more about her personal life and personality.

Question for you guys, I pulled into my driveway just now and noticed a dark spot which I dont remember being there. It even has some grey-ish ash looking stuff down in the divot. It's like something really hot sat in that location and burned it's way down before burning out.

I'm stumped what could have caused it.

I'm woefully ignorant about Aretha Franklin when it comes to her music, life and what-have you. The one little thing I do know is she was absolutely wonderful in The Blues Brothers movie.

Same-ish. I know the songs she sang and based on what others say I understand what impact her music had on their lives, but knowing versus understanding are two different things. Her entire career was probably more important than others', but I don't have enough to back up why that would be and such.

Even still, an extremely sad and unfortunate passing and I can definitely understand that.

Woke up to use the washroom...noticed my hair is graying. It's still pretty dark but under the right lighting there's a silver/gray tint to it.

Like all men on my father's side of the family the hair is losing color before I turn 40 "sigh"

                (turning 39 later this month)

I'm not a vain guy but i'm weirdly obsessed about the color of my hair. Oh well back to bed.

I don't know if my hair is "graying" so to speak, but I have dozens of gray hairs all over my head within the supermajority amount of black hairs. I'm only 30.

Tis better to go gray than go bald, I guess. At least one can still darken it. Too bad I'm sort of getting a touch of both, already (plus I hear that dying hair can also lead to baldness). I don't think artificially coloring hair is really a guy thing anyway. Just let naturally happen whatever happens, I s'pose.

                    I'm with you brother.

I'm turning 31 in December and the number of gray hairs I'm seeing growing daily it seems like.

I turn 40 in October. My beard is starting to get a little salt and pepper look.

I'm completely bald so I don't have to worry about gray hairs on my head.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
