Maybe it's just me but when the eye doc is 6 inches from my face with a light looking at my eye and just moving his head up and down...I have to bite my tongue to not laugh. Not sure why but it just cracks me up so much.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I hate those tests. I went a few years ago and hated it so much. Just renewed my old prescription instead of bothering to do a new check, even despite the fact that the eye exam would've been free.

The air puff is horrible. But forget them doing the drop, I can't even get myself to do eyedrop at home on the very rare instances I need to.

It's not just you lol, and I'm glad I'm not the only one, it's this cartoonish situation where I'm sitting still and focused forward while someone who is being totally serious is acting silly to me, and maybe it's the child in me but I can't help but find it funny

Thankfully my eye doctor did away with the air puff test. They use a different test

Weird thing going on with google for me. For no reason my device auto updated every app despite me having auto updates off(when I checked, somehow it was turned on). And suddenly Google maps has all notifications set to on, and my location sharing is on too. All these are things I've always had turned off. I haven't done anything to any settings recently so I don't know why suddenly it's like Google just changed everything themselves or reset it to default.

Sounds like Google Maps' settings reset when it updated. Not sure why your auto updates would trigger in the first place though. Any recent update to your phone/tablet that might have reset things?

Nothing has happened. Past few days I've been suddenly getting Google Maps notifications (about traffic in my area), and now today suddenly all my apps auto updated. Haven't done anything to any settings to cause that.

A weird thing, but anyone else get a small bit of anxiety when starting/wanting to start a new PC/console game, especially one with online multiplayer?

I don't play online but I get the twinge of the anxiety nerve anytime I start a new game. There's excitement and worry. I'm about to fire up Mass Effect 3 for the first time (I'm way behind, I know), and even though I've played through 1 and 2, part of me is apprehensive a bit

They have this hand instrument that they put up to your numbed eye and measure it.

You're still in the golden age of Mass Effect. 1-3 were outstanding games. They all offered something a little different, but were still a part of an amazing story.

                          Andromeda..... meh.

I get this, especially in these games that have continuing storylines and branching narratives, I'm always a little worried I'm going to do something "wrong" or kill someone off that I like. I also worry a bit about the time suck I'm signing myself up for, knowing how engrossing the games can be, so it makes me a little reluctant to start.

But then, I'm the kind of person that as a kid would save my page in "Choose Your Own Adventure" books, just in case I didn't like the choice I made (!).

They have to numb your eyeball? I'm afraid to ask how that's accomplished, this sounds worse than the airpuff!

Just drops. I'm trying to remember if they even need to do that anymore at my ophthalmologist as I only remember having drops put it once (to dilate my pupils) the last couple times I was there. They use this thing that looks like a large pen with a purple light at the tip that they put real close to my eyeball.
