A 24yo mattress is basically sleeping on a boxspring.

No kidding, starting to realize that all of a sudden. Years slip by, finances needed elsewhere, you never think about the condition of the dang thing until it's the same as too late.

add toilet paper to this and I agree.

Can speak from experience on this. Got a Purple 3 back in November for me & the wife and it’s an amazing bed. Perfect hybrid of firm and soft. Relieves all pressure no matter the position you sleep in. Never gets hot while sleeping. Doesn’t transfer a lot of movement.

I will tell everyone who asks they need to buy a Purple 3 or 4. They run like $3,200-$3,600 for a king but man is it worth it. We got to try Casper in New York City back in December and it was like a concrete slab.

Don’t waste money on a bed with springs in it. They’ll slouch within a year.

We tried out the purple 2 in a store this weekend, it was heaven. Pretty sure that's what we're getting after we move

Good ol' life struck, fuel pump went out on my truck, ER visit with my daughter. Guess the life of the old mattress must continue.

This is in Dallas, but there is someone local that re-sells the online mattresses that people did not want after their 100 day trial. Charities here apparently can't take a used mattress. So the mattress companies give them to this business who then sell them at a discounted rate after a steam cleaning and refurbishing, and then the money goes to charity.

Might look and see if something like that exists in your area.
