Even more important note. If you're regifting, write who gave you those gifts so you don't just give it to them, or even someone they directly know the next year.

      No re-gifting.

Watched my first "holiday" movie the other day on Pluto - Married By Christmas. Had a weirdly dumb plot but by the time they explained it I was 20 minutes in and had nothing else going on so I just let it ride.

It's Hallmark-ish (aren't they all?) but not as heavy-handed about it. Weird premise, pointless ending, but the acting was decent. Two stars.

I don't watch any Christmas movies until after I watch Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving and Garfield's Thanksgiving.

I watch those on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

I've seen advertising near downtown here where they have special showings of that in 3D as well.

The roller coaster train scene as well as the ticket getting lost scenes are 2 that I imagine would be so cool to watch in 3D.

Polar Express will always be a special movie to me because I remember my teacher managed to get our class to take a field trip to the movies to watch it when it came out. Our class was basically the entire audience for that weekday morning screening. 15th anniversary of the release this year.

but before you watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, you do watch It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown first, right? lol
there needs to be an adult-oriented, adult-aged Charlie Brown's Rockin' New Year's Eve Party.

I have most of my shopping done. Just my wife’s stocking stuff. I’m so excited for my daughter. She is going to have a lot of fun Christmas morning.

She is so excited. Mary is absolutely obsessed with the Netflix Christmas special “The Star”. It’s really good. The sound track is amazing. I highly recommend watching it and listening to the music over and over again. It’s that good.

We are going for our annual meet Santa morning. We get our photos taken with The Big guy. We sign up for the first session. I don’t want pissed off elves around me and my family. Lol. We have brunch at The Country Club closer to Christmas. We also have the Christmas train that we go to every year.

A Gift To Remember 1 and 2 are the GOAT of Hallmark xmas movies. Starring the director of Amish Abduction. There's weird connection between Hallmark and Lifetime that I'm not sure how to feel about.

I just realized I haven't watched a single Christmas show or movie yet. Putting up decorations tomorrow though.

And my weird family tradition continues. One which everyone is actually agreeing to basically do on purpose now. Having Christmas get together happening AFTER christmas. Past few years it happened due to various reasons like bad weather, certain people not being around until right before Christmas and so on. But now it's happening on purpose after Christmas because everyone is getting so use to that.

Bittersweet. Nice to extend the Christmas season a few extra days. But also makes Christmas day itself less important.

Hallmark could probably have their own streaming service, just having every movie ever made on that service. They make so many, there'd literally be hundreds if not thousands to choose from.

We've tried that a few times. The actual meeting up and seeing everyone was fine, the same as any other time. Something just felt off being a few days later though.

99% sure they already have this. How could they not? Easy money.

Edit: Turns out they have some kind of streaming service that has...different programming than the Hallmark TV channels? Someone figure that one out.

I’ve got some shopping done early this year, proud. Lol.

My son wants that Hot Wheels Criss Cross Crash set, they’ve remade it from the original I had as a kid. It came yesterday. He’s gonna freak out when he sees it on Christmas morning. Think this year will be the year we do some pre-assembly.

Also got him a cool Marble Run (with an elevator!) and a 4 pack of small puzzles. Besides that, we’re going to continue to encourage potty training with some big boy underwear (Paw Patrol), a Lightning McQueen bed (race car bed, classic!), some books and clothes. Maybe a little thing here or there. Dude is gonna be set from us alone, not to mention from his grandparents and aunts & uncles. It’s so much fun shopping for your kids, especially being able to see and price it out on Amazon.
