A restaurant downtown here has supposedly renamed their food menu items after office supplies.
It's apparently just for "pr purposes"(they didn't say that, but it's a limited time thing and it obviously has people talking about them). But I wonder how effective this is. When ordering, sure you could say you just spent $30 on a stapler, pens, headphones with a mic and a binder. But last time I checked, doesn't ordering with a credit card, even a work one, just show where you made your purchase, not the actual item you ordered, so even if you write it off as a "business expense", it doesn't show you bought something called a stapler, you bought something at a burger place.
But like I said, it's definitely illegal anyways so...

When your submitting your receipt for reimbursement you have to include the itemized bill part.
When I use mine when traveling, I have to get an itemized receipt to separate the food from alcohol. There is an easier way around that (just ask for two separate bills) but that may not always be realistic depending on the place.
So when they provide one, it would show as the items above.
And it's not illegal, restaurants can name their items whatever they want. The wrong part would be people submitting that stuff for reimbursement to their employer so it's not something I would do. For me that would fall under ethics and I would lose my job AND my bonding in a heartbeat.
We're gone again. I don't vote for much, but I vote we shut down the health department.

Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.
Maybe it's just me, but the Oscars feels like it's at an all-time low in terms of relevancy. The event as a whole seems so out of touch with how most people think about and consume films these days. The movie star mystique has never been less of a thing. And yet we still do this tuxedo/gown ceremony.
Never mind the fact that no one watches these TV award shows anymore lol.

it's also time they retire the name Oscar and start calling the whole thing Selfies.
and the award for most self-absorbed goes to...
*drumroll*
...Hollywood!
I feel like I asked this last year but can't find the post, because sadly I made the same mistake again this year by not recording enough of it on my DVR.
Does anyone know where I can stream the Oscars without running into spoilers while searching it up?
I have 3.5 hours recorded but apparently it had a 4-hour runtime.
No spoilers please if you have a link or valid search option for me (like if it's on a streaming app). Thanks!
EDIT: I found it on ABC On Demand. I don't know if it was there last year. It certainly wasn't there right after the show, but I get if there is maybe a 24-hour wait period or something.

I think we should have a place to report health code violations.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
Seems like it would be pretty easy to NOT get shut down by the health department repeatedly lol. They must be getting turned in by employees, and letting some pretty egregious things go down. From my experience the health department gives extremely generous advanced warning for their regular inspections. Would be a shame if the next pandemic started at a buffet down the street.

Yeah they were pretty lenient in my experiences with them. It’s got to be really bad or repeatedly bad enough to get shut down totally.

NFL - Buffalo Bills

With the time changing this past weekend, it once again started the debate on if it should keep happening.
After looking at the alternatives, at least here where sunrise/sunset is different than further south in the US, I don't want 9am sunrises in the winter OR 4am sunrise in the summer (if we stick to only DST or standard time).
However, one thing I've thought of is why doesn't time change on Friday nights instead of Saturday? I get more people work Saturday than Sunday, but you're also not getting adjusted to the time in a single day (Sunday night into Monday is the first real test as to how your body/sleep does with the time change). Maybe changing time 1 day earlier could make it easier for people to adjust since you'll have all Saturday, as well as Saturday night into all day Sunday to adjust.
