The Lume advert is worse than having to watch a tampon commercial during a football game. It would be better if Lume had Kate Upton or Selena Gomez as their spokesperson.

Twitch is like that, I see the same ad probably 5-6 times a viewing session when I'm on something like the MST3K or Rifftrax channel and letting it run for background noise.


Some of the commercials have had the opposite effect on me in that I'll ignore their products in stores.

Update on the YT thing: When I use Chrome it won't let me use YT anymore, the black screen appears and it says either turn adblock off or you can't use this site.

Then I laugh and laugh and laugh

Then, when I use Firefox, the black screen doesn't appear and I'm free to use YT like I have always done.

So use Firefox, problem solved.

So they got me on Firefox too, can't watch videos


And YT changes their script at least twice a day so even if I use a script with ublock they will block it again in a matter of hours.


Times are getting desperate, will Master_Live_013 cave in and disable adblock/ublock or pay the premium?

Got my tree up in the basement with the lights strung. I’ll adjust them over the next few days before we decorate on the first. Then next Friday we will decorate the family room Christmas.

The process has begun.

I wonder how much advertising even works.

Making people aware of certain promos/deals is one thing, but just advertising for the sake of advertising, how effective is it?

Like anytime you see an ad for Shampoo or a car or something like that, it's the same product as the previous version but maybe "new and improved" somehow. Is advertising it nonstop gonna make people buy it more than the amount who would've bought it regardless?
