Either way, this will be like not having Trebek on Jeopardy or Barker on Price is Right. It's so hard to ever fill those shoes.
I don't watch Wheel of Fortune, but I record and watch Jeopardy and it gives me just enough time to watch the toss-up opening segment of Wheel every time out. Since I don't watch the rest of the episode I don't know for sure, but it seems like he is sleepwalking through his hosting performance in that first part. Basically, I believe that it's about that time he retires.

I'm guessing Vanna goes with him? Stays? Not sure.

I see her leaving either the same season or the one after (so she can get her own farewell season).

But Pat on the celeb editions is way better than the tv version. It helps when you have a players there more to have fun than anything else.

I think Drew does a pretty good job on Price is Right but it'll be weird not seeing Pat Sajak on Wheel of Fortune anymore. Didn't realize how old Vanna was either.

Drew has been good, but you can't ever fill Bob Barkers shoes.

You wouldn't think they're as old as they are, but then you realize it's been on 40+ years, so realizing what age they were when they started, it makes sense.

By the way, regarding Jeopardy, I don't know all that they changed behind the scenes, but they never run out of time getting all of the clues taken care of on the board like they used to when Trebek was hosting. It's not like he went slowly or anything. I think they either took time out of interviews or took away a commercial slot or two. After all, the bleed into Wheel of Fortune is only a few commercials long now instead of like six.

It's nice though. That was always one of my complaints, which again had nothing to do with Trebek.

Well I strongly approve of his daughter being on TV. I assumed she would take over for Vanna when she is gone.

                That's what I thought too.

Though everyone knows Vannas job is obsolete, you don't need someone turning the letters or touching the screen.

I think once she's done they'll retire that position. Just call it Vannas puzzleboard or something and it works digitally.

You still need a host which is probably why Pat retiring and his daughter taking his spot makes the most sense if there will just be 1 opening.

Damn, she's gonna get replaced by AI too? Cold.

I honestly didn't even know Pat Sajak was still hosting. That dude outlasted everyone. Him and Chuck Woolery can go host a political show now or something.

Her replacement is the easiest one.

No human can replace her. At least with the digital screen, you can say her "legacy lives on" and just call it Vannas Puzzleboard well after she's gone from the show.

I honestly thought when they transitioned from the old school manual turning letters to the screen type that she would of been gone, but guess since she is just as known to the show as Pat that they needed to keep her. Once she decides to retire I doubt they have someone at the board, like you said they don't NEED anyone to do that.

It’s wild to me that I remember watching Wheel of Fortune with Sajak/White with my grandma in the early to mid 80s.

Sajak's daughter would consolidate the role of host and attractive woman that Pat and Vanna provided.

Paul Reubens (aka Pee Wee Herman) dies at the age of 70.

I last saw him on celebrity wheel of fortune last year. Didn't even realize he was so old.
