I don't know why this is so funny to me. What a strange story to tell.

What a coward. I don't see any regret in his eyes and from listening to his tone. Admits to theft without any fear of prosecution because he is probably aware of the statute of limitations. I can't believe there hasn't been any calls for his resignation.

A year ago today for many was the last day of work before it shut down.

Mine shut down on the 12th, but I got to be one of the few lucky ones that got to come in on FRIDAY THE 13TH, get that extra days money (it was only a half day work but full days pay) basically just to help put things away and finalize everything that needed to be done before they shut down.

That day felt so surreal because I knew going in that I was one of the only people at my work coming in, I still never told anyone I went in that day. They were all upset on the Thursday about their shift being cut short or just told not to even come in, that's how people found out everything was shutting down. We had a special lunch before the day was done, and felt so weird leaving by 2pm, especially since all day the building was basically empty and had dimmed lights. Even the Thursday, everyone knew things were gonna shut down, so everyone was just waiting around all day basically to get the word.

One thing I miss during the pandemic is that Friday evening feeling. Sure, every day feels like a Saturday now, which does make it less special. Next to all day on Saturdays, Friday evenings were my fave part of the week.

Mine was the 6th. We shutdown for five weeks prematurely. I mean I guess we were ahead of everyone else in that regard, but our school literally had no plan of action in sight and were totally caught with their pants down. I was ready for anything like distance learning at any time, but I understand not all teachers and students would have been ready like that.

For the first time in over 20 years, Toronto is "adding neighbourhoods", as in dividing up bigger communities into smaller ones to make things more balanced.

I think I'm part of the change. I checked out the map and my street is literally on the borderline between a new and existing neighbourhood.

Have I secretly been moved to Petoria?

For the first time in over 20 years, Toronto is "adding neighbourhoods", as in dividing up bigger communities into smaller ones to make things more balanced.

I think I'm part of the change. I checked out the map and my street is literally on the borderline between a new and existing neighbourhood.

Have I secretly been moved to Petoria?

I always ask these questions, but I have to ask again:

I cooked broccoli, even put it in a container and put the lid on it, but forgot to put it in the fridge. It was left out for four hours.

It's in the fridge now, and I don't plan on having any broccoli again until tomorrow night. Provided that I heat it up again in the microwave, do you think it would be relatively safe to eat, or is it spoiled and dunzo?

Don't doughnuts operate in room temperature, though? I just don't know how bacteria hits cooked veggies versus other items.

I always just figured that bacteria doesn't act on fruits and vegetables as readily as it does meat, but that's purely based on anecdotal evidence.

It would be safe to eat even without heating up. People tend to err way on the safe side on whether food is good to eat. Which, I get it, food poisoning is a bitch. But generally if it smells and looks OK, have at it.
