I haven’t been here nearly as long but this site has changed a lot over the years it seems. Sometimes it feels like OS is dying a slow death.

Less sports games to talk about, and the base that grew up here might be getting older and playing less games (I didn't play anything for well over nine months, and am barely just popping a game on right now during my summer break).

But yes, without me playing games even I find myself posting much less often. For example, my last 1,000 posts have been made since last March which pegs me at 2.14 posts per day in that timespan, yet overall I average 6.18 posts per day (which is obviously being brought down by the past 15 months).

And I just found out that I had 4,215 posts as MuffinMcFluffin (11.00 ppd average), which technically gives me 45,523 posts now.

OS also doesn't allow for politics or porn so it's probably unattractive to a large swath of the internet.

I look at other people's join dates and post count and my join date and post count and wonder if I'm even doing anything here.

I joined in September of 2010. I had just started college and was super pumped for NBA 2k11. I was about to turn 19.

Now I'm 30 and don't even watch NBA anymore, really. I still enjoy the games though. I definitely feel old. I like this place better than places like reddit though. I kinda like the older crowd and don't like modern sports games as much (aside from The Show, which is still great imo)

It will take me longer to get the 850 I need to get to 20K than it did to get to this point. I participated in a lot of ****-posting on here for years.
