Well, a troll probably wouldn't even get it. So you don't have to worry about that. You'd just have to make sure you don't get eaten.

Saying all Yankees fans are classless jerks would be an example of trolling.

Saying the Knicks have a terrible basketball team would not be trolling because it is true.
