Re: iPhone App
Nothing fancy. Have quick links to content such as reviews, previews and guides. Another quick link to the forums, but don't worry about making the forums easier to get around, a link is all that is needed.
It isn't meant to be fancy, just handy.Former OS Editor.

Re: iPhone App
I don't get it, why not just bookmark the pages for reviews, previews, etc.. on the iPhone web browser?
Just brainstorming...
Are we thinking of an app that would have something like a "latest reviews" button that when clicked would display the last 5 reviews and then you select one and go to that review?Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: iPhone App
If we are throwing out ideas... here is one.
A match-making feature so I can use the iphone app to say that I want to play a game of Madden 10 on PS3 at 7:30PM EST. Then someone on my OS iphone app friends list can accept the challenge and we can chat via the app to discuss the matchup in more detail.
Since it is an OS iphone app I know I'll be getting a good matchup and not some random cheeser.Comment

Re: iPhone App
Great idea Bronco.
I've been playing around with the iPhone SDK, doing a few tutorials to get familiar with objective-C. I read that I could make calls to C++ written classes as well, which would make it easier on me.
Unless someone who is more familiar with writing iphone apps wants to go ahead and make it (which would be faster), I could definitely use this oputurnity to gain experience in another language and hopefully produce a product that I could show potential employers.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Hope to get started on writting the app within a week or two. Still studying the language and some of the stuff you can do with it.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: iPhone App
Sounds awesome, btw, could you link where you are reading tutorials on it? I would love to learn some new programming as well. Good luck with the App

Re: iPhone App
Thats actually a pretty cool idea.... I wouldn't mind making an app JUST for that....If we are throwing out ideas... here is one.

I'm wrapping up beta on my current app I am developing, and might consider that for my next one. It would require some server side work, which I am sure you could handle bronco.
Is this a feature that could be added to the main OS website?Comment

Re: iPhone App
I've written a few apps. I could certainly pitch in with code reviews and stuff, and do even more development once i finish my current iPhone app.
I think this will definitely require some work on the server side, so we would have to bring in bronco for that one.
Bronc0 - Is there any sort of web API that can be called into that will return user info? (OS Name, Xbox Live Name, etc)?Comment
