While I agree, it would greatly hinder the stories that are posted here because it doesn't take much to have a story turn into being a story about the actions of the officer(s) (unfortunately).

I don't really see how they go against the TOS unless you'd consider it trolling, but that's pushing it IMO.

IDK, I just don't see the big deal...I don't think people are trying to vilify cops like some are suggesting. In most, if not all, of the stories posted, the cops vilify themselves. I'm sure if a good/heartwarming cop story were to make national headlines it would be posted here, it's just that a majority of the stories are negative, partially due to the fact that the media likes to harp on negative things more than the positive. I think some people are being a little too sensitive.

And let it be known I have no problem with cops. The only cop I don't like is my mom's husband, and that's because he's an arrogant douchebag for reasons completely unrelated to his profession.

Regardless of how sensitive people do or do not get about this particular topic, it is dangerously nearing the same level as discussions on religion or politics.

It's not like these discussions turn out bad only once in awhile, it's every single time the discussions pop up. Similar to other taboo subjects, there comes a point where they just can't be discussed anymore.

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I completely agree with you. Personally, I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with law enforcement officers as long as they follow procedure and don't violate people's rights. I have come to learn that in most instances that if you are courteous, yet assertive towards any law enforcement officer that they will not give you too hard of a time. Hell, I have been pulled over four times and still don't have a single traffic ticket. You've just got to know how to handle it. Again, being both courteous and assertive at the same time will put you in control of the situation more often than not.

Post feel good stories about cops if you are offended by the negitive....

If I can remember, I dont think anyone broke any TOS violations when discussing anything cop related lately...

People are just being sensentive, and only one opinion count around here...

No one debate around here anymore...Its either your a "fan boy or a *****" thats pretty much how all these threads turns out...
