Yes you guys need to register an account at the dynasties.operationsports.com website... we discussed trying to set it up so that you could just use the OS account you were already logged into, but this is a vbulletin forum system so it just wouldn't work out. -
@WhiteSox - You can use your own HTML if you want, these generators are just alternate options. The forum dynasties will not be removed, once again this is just another option for the OS Dynasty users.
@ronnymixmaster - I know Rob, why does OS need tips from him. Better yet, why would he share any tips? lolComment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
One other question, will forum dynasties also be in the selection pool for front page, or is that only for ones using the new format?
EDIT: Thanks Pujols, just wanted to make sure.Comment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
I don't think we'd have a generator for wrestling, unless you have some ideas. But posting dynasties in general are all welcomed.Comment

If we have enough interest in soccer generators, we will definitely get one together.Comment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
I just had a slight problem. I accidentally left off the last sentence in the code and now its messed up my entire dynasty page and I cant edit the entry because I cant reach the image to click it. I was curious how I can get rid of that post, you should look at my page to see what happened. any help?We are looking into it. Great start, btw.

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
Remember, registering is simply an easy way to save a "Roster", so you don't have to keep re-writing them, over and over again. You don't have to register to use the generator itself, but for ease of dynasty updates, a roster save is very handy.

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
We'd like the "Dynasties" page/tab to be the home of your dynasty. However, we realize it is not for everyone. So yes, some Dynasties from the Forums, could be tagged for the homepage, but would not be shown on the Dynasty page, per coding issues on the backend.Comment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
Quite frankly, I don't see how posting dynasties in our blogs is an improvement over posting in the forums, but if it gets more people into posting their dynasties here, then I'm all for it.
That said, I'll probably stick with the forums. My CH 2K8 legacy is over two years old and has over 30,000 views now, so I don't want to leave all that behind.
I do LOVE the HTML table generators, though.Comment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
Since I'm starting anew, I chose the blogs. I like the option of not having my story interrupted by comments, and the ability to reach the front page and get more readers is nice
I can totally understand why people would choose the forums, though. It was a tough choice for me.Comment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
I'm more than settled...it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
It seems to me that if your chise isn't one of the 'featured dynasties', then your chise will stay hidden in your 'arena' and seriously...how often do you think people go around looking at everyones arena's? I know I never do.
It seems like there still needs to be some sort of directory that people can browse through...
also, it seems almost glaringly obvious to me that there should be a link in the forums to the dynasties for the sport of a particular game...
For instance, if I'm browsing the NHL 10 or NHL 2k10 forums, each one at the top should have a link to get to the Hockey Dynasties...as well as the sliders subforum, etc.
Would do a lot of good.
How do you follow a dynasty that is using the new system? Let's say I want to follow someone's dynasty and read their last five posts. How do I do that? Do I look at their arena? What if I forget their user name?
This seems to be a work in progress which is understandable. But I wonder if the new system will just split dynasties into two sections, the old forums and this new system, and make them more difficult to find. I though the original objective was to make it easier for people to find and read the dynasties. I don't know if this is going to accomplish that. I kind of wish some input from the community had been sought before this change was introduced. The input that was sought was for something entirely different. I think our input could have been helpful.
I think people will really enjoy Pujols tables. Hopefully that will encourage people to do more dynasties.Comment

Re: New Dynasty Feature Arrives at Operation Sports
Very nice feature, it makes me want to start up a Dynasty. I've done them on forums before but as people have mentioned it would be nice to be able to do them in one blog so there isn't a bunch of replies in between updates. Looks very clean, good job!Comment

Hey!
GREAT new feature. I love how all of your stuff is in one place, just by itself now. Very clean.
However, I have only found one thing that I would change. As you start to post new entries into your dynasty, it puts the newest entry first. This isn't a huge deal at all, but I would think that you would want to start with the oldest one (or the beginning of the dynasty) and then scroll through. That's just the way I would do it. But as I said, not a huge deal. Great job with itComment
