I know that personally, I usually consider whether or not a post is proselytizing, debating/promoting/insulting the merits of a belief/doctrine, etc...

In my eyes, we're a community. If someone shares a tragedy from their personal life and people respond "I'll pray for you," I don't see that as a problem. Some people will say they're "sending good thoughts" or something akin to that instead.

In the past, I have asked posters to remove bible verses from their signature, or overt statements of a specific faith in the past.

I guess it comes to down to don't preach, don't convert, don't attack. Calling a game the "mecca" of something or saying that it's "heaven" are more colloquial than religious, to me at least.

That being said, that's just how I have always handled it. That's not how every mod/admin might see it.

I agree with 99.9% of what you've said here - as someone who was asked many years ago to remove a Bible verse from my signature, I found that measure to be a little bit excessive.

I don't think the TOS should prohibit Bible verses in signatures because any mention of religion there that's done in a very passive way doesn't necceserily rise to the level of proselytization.

Our TOS is very specific with regards to that topic.

It just can't be discussed here, and the rule isn't in place for any principal. As a mod, please keep this discussion internal.

TOS shouldn't be buried in some back page, admin needs to go into CP and making a new Forum/Sub-Forum and pin this at the top IMO

It's stickied at the top of a page that you can easily navigate to lol. I also believe you're to read them when first signing up?

Stickied where? Quick Links > Terms of Service? That link brings me no where and although yes they are read when you signup it's easy to forget intricate details of TOS especially since what is in this thread doesn't match what is on http://www.operationsports.com/tos.php

I'm not arguing the TOS, I'm fine with what it states, if we wanted to get picky I would change wordings here and there but we could talk about that via PM, overall the TOS is fine to me how it's stated. I'm asking that the TOS be stickied on each forum and not buried in and Other forum where it is hard to find.

It will never be posted as a sticky on every forum because it shouldn't need to be. I will get the link fixed (it's looking to an old version of the TOS) but it is in the registration for the site so the standard is set. Ignorance past that is never going to be an excuse here.
