Re: 2004 Operation Sports Year End Awards (The Stevie's)
I'm a huge Sega fanboy but I thought the ESPN basketball titles this year were garbage. I was surprised to see that College Hoops got consideration for anything. I surprisingly thought the EA titles were better this year, which is something I never thought I would ever say.
Needless to say, I'm shocked that ESPN College Hoops got game of the year. I guess I'll have to pop that badboy back into my Xbox for another run.Comment

Congrats Aaron & Sully.
And I think the staff here just got a whole bunch of sales for TOCA because I've never heard of it up until now and I'm very interested seeing how you guys talked about it.
Hey Sully, I'm sure you'll take this over the Eagles actually getting to the Super Bowl this year, huh?Comment

TOCA 2 has the best racing AI of any road-racing game I've ever played. AI cars drive like racers in real life, unlike the brain-dead drones that play follow the leader and never change their lines in GT.
If you're into car collecting, than stick with the GT series. If you're into pure racing with a great driving and racing model, real tracks and real race and street cars, then TOCA 2 simply blows away Gran Turismo.
TOCA 2 also has visible damage that hurts the performance of the car and a real cockpit view for every vehicle.
Plus Xbox Live racing in TOCA 2 is incredible. A really dedicated and decent-sized group of proper racers out there. Very little of the crash-and-dash BS that has hurt Project Gotham 2 on XBL big-time.
I've also found that there are quite a few guys from outside North America who race on XBL with TOCA 2 and Colin McRae Rally 2005. So if you're into meeting and gaming with guys from different cultures and parts of the world, as I am, you can't go wrong with TOCA 2, especially since it's a phenomenal game.
Take care,
